Just because a character dont have voice dosent mean he has no personality.I mean, I can understand when people say that they see him as an avatar, but no personality is pushing too far.He is not the most expressive character by far, but he does have a personality that has been build over the years, specially after OOT.

Link is about as blank slate and dull of a personality as you're going to get.

There's nothing even particularily macho or male-centric to his persona, he never really seems all that sexually interested in Zelda or any female for one.

He's more Peter Pan than Nathan Drake, a character where the gender really isn't all that important.

I'll play as male Link probably but it doesn't really bother me if some 11-year-old or 35-year-old girl would like a female Link or if some guy wants to play as female Link.

I don't see it altering much of anything.

"Link is about as blank slate and dull of a personality as you're going to get. "Suuuuuuure..... keep believing that.

Have you played Wind Waker?Majoras Mask?Even if his personality of being brave and courageous is a very steriotyped one and not deep at all, it is an personality.A character without personality have no traits at all, and you knows thats not the case with link.

You dont need macho or male-centric traits to be a man, you know that right? Not every character needs to have gigantic muscles and go yelling "I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE" every times he goes into battle to be a man.God, did I really had to say this?I mean, thats as an argument for Link not be a man anymore is... Nevermind.Just wish you gave me real good reasons

You realize that article is BS right?

It is? Why?

The author had an agenda. When she was debunked. She had a complete meltdown.

Hope the NX version runs at a minimum 1080P + 60 FPS. If you don't like the gender option ... uh just don't use it? No one's putting a gun to your head.

Minimum!? That is maximum that can run, you can't expect 4k and 120FPS, lol.

If (and this is a big if) the NX is more powerful than a PS4 maybe 1440p resolution or even 2K res would be possible if they're basically just using Wii U assets.

And what is point of 1440p resolution in 2016, who actually have TV with 1440p resolution!? Wii U was mostly 720p/60fps hardware, Nintendo with NX probably aiming 1080p/60FPS with 4K support for media, no way they will make 1440p games.

If you have a 4KTV you can enjoy resolutions beyond 1080P so sure why not offer the option for those who have, that is to say if they don't really want to take the time to redo graphical assets and just use the Wii U base, well if your hardware is powerful enough and go beyond 1080P ... then sure why not.

That would be really awesome.

Sure, cosplaying is easier been done by woman, but Im sorry, the in-game character does not look like a girl(just the one from Zelda U footage, that looks girlish, I gotta admit). But I find ridiculous that a videogame character needs very clear man traits to be considered a man.I mean, really?Just because cosplaying is done more easily with woman, that justifies Link being female? The soul argument is good and makes sense, now this one is just.... ridiculous. So if a man manages to pull off a Lara croft cosplay, or a woman manages to pull off a Kratos cosplay, that would justify the switch?Cmon. At least give me a good argument.

Do you get angry when Peter Pan is played by a woman?

Peter Pan is the archetype that Link most closely indentifies with.

So peter Pan have no personality? All his playfulness, his loyalty to his friends is "blank Slate" for you?

If the woman looks like Peter Pan, and plays the role well, of course I wouldnt be mad, because she is playing a male character. The character genderitself wouldnt change. Its a play after all.I would get annoyed if they made Peter Pan a girl(not the actor, the character)

Peter Pan has 100x more personality than Link.

Like I said if you like male Link then play .... as male Link? The character isn't being changed unless you want it to be.

The most "personality" Link has ever had was the 80s Saturday morning cartoons. What's presented in the games is basically a avatar.

"Being surprised" isn't a personality.

I really need to ask?Are you here to have a discussion, or are you just trying to tease us?I really cant tell.
