It seems clear that they gave thought to a female protagonist but decided against it.

IMO a spinoff game with Zelda as the lead is well overdue... Should be called "The Legend of Link" just to further confuse things.

Otherwise I personally thought the voice in the trailer was fine, but I've never had any issue with there being no voice acting... I think I might prefer it that way.
