That can also be explained by most people who want the game already having it on console. Though when I say kind of content, I mean the fact that the games generally feel bigger and have higher budgets. That may not exactly translate to more sales for a game, but I think it gives consoles a higher attach rate, since many handheld games may feel too cheap for people. If that makes sense.
edit: Though I guess the point can kind of tie in to the "different audience" argument as being almost the same thing.
Such a big disconnect from DS to 3DS software sales. Is 3DS widely pirateable at this point of time like PSP and DS?

Well X1 is obviousy in a better position given it will sell significanty more software than 3DS. Lets also consider 3DS has been on the market for over 2 years longer.
Lastly, which platform do you think sells more software digitally?

Aye can either do it now with a card with micro sd in it or by softmodding the 3ds to just install games right to the system.
I hadn't done anything with the 3ds in a while but looked into if it was possible to run homebrew on it after Nintendo annoucned SNES games were coming to the E-Shop but only the New 3ds was able to play them.... fuck that shit lol.
My Secret of Mana cart fits the old model of 3ds XL just fine :D

Who have the Bigger install base will sell the most Digital Software, lately a lot of games have sold very well digitally on Japan.
If you Mean Digital Attach Rate per user so then Xbox One, have the Advantage, PS4, is popular in places that have poor internet, and in ones that have good internet, while Xbox One's Most sales came from USA, and UK, while for PS4, isn't even 50% of the Total Sales.

not as much. 3ds hasnt done as well as DS and alot of the software that was exciting and new on Ds, Cooking mamas, brain age. People dont seem to care for on 3ds i could imagine cause they can get cheaper alternatives on their phone.

I dont understand your question.
Lets just say moving enough software to get great 3rd party support is the most important achievment. I think X1 has that.
