If they have an invincible mode then they should have an impossible mode where if you get hit once then you die. Oh and no checkpoints for maximum insanity.

^So Nintendo can't steal my idea.

Well, there is going to be a harder difficulty in the game as well. You will cause double the damage of normal mode, but you will sustain twice as much damage by enemies as well (that is if I remember correctly).

When I meant a harder difficulty I meant a difficulty that is the complete opposite of the invicible mode.  Aka impossible mode. That way the mega hardcore will also have something to enjoy.

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true. 2nd UPDATE: I have no Switch 2. I am now behind

Enemies that do double the damage seems like it will be much harder

That there's extra modes of difficulty is good, a beginner mode is good. I don't care about this inclusion.

I do question what benefit to the gameplay this type of 'invincibility-mode' has though. As people said, you could likely just leave the controller on the floor and win the game. You say it's for small children so they can learn the gameplay concepts. But will they? We used to learn how to play video-games through trail and error, but how does one learn to get confortable with games if they're not learning from their mistakes?

It could help them learn enemy attack patterns or get accustomed to the map.

Or it can be like in Woolly World when Mellow Mode can be turned on or off whenever. You can play the normal difficulty for 90% of the game but turn on the invincible mode for levels that are giving you trouble.

That would be decent, or like recent Mario games where they let you try five times before giving you the Invincibility Leaf.

They should have named it "Reviewer Mode".

Back in the days, nearly every game had such a mode. We just called it cheats back then. I remember I never played Parodius without cheats, because I was like 5 years old and sucked ass at games. A large portion of Nintendos target group are kids, so it's just logical to deliver them what they want. And after all, it's optional. It's really not that important if it's just an option or if you enter the Konami cheatcode. It's the same thing. We all did it at some point.

More proof of the pussification of the majority of kids these days. Back in the 80's, most of our games were 3 lives, you lose them, game fuckin' over and DEAL WITH IT. And you know what? We loved it!

Am I morphing into Cranky Kong? Yes, yes I am.

If Dark souls had the option to play in a more healthy difficulty I would probably play it( unless there is).

Bunch of cry babies... just DON'T use it.

Dark Souls isn't hard, people that struggle probably just aren't very good at video games.

I don't have a problem with that. I mean, I wouldn't use it, so why would I bother complaining? It's always good to have more options, cause someone might just need them eventually. Maybe some people are tired and just want to enjoy the game without any stress, or maybe a very young child can't play it decently well yet.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
