It means game freak isn't doing the obvious. We can't skip gen 6 yet, many things haven't been wrapped up yet. Unless gen 7 is Johto akin to kalos. :o

Didnt they hint on a expanded region or another region in X/Y or was that just reference to Hoenn in the 3rd gen remakes?
