The Xbox 360 will have the most software sales.

Well, at least from the maker of Virtual boy. ;)

Someone should do up a handy dandy chart for us that shows each systems overall software sales this year thus far. From what I've seen going back a few weeks it looks to me like the Wii will end up easily taking the year. It has the healthiest sales worldwide and has many big games which will continue to sell well on a weekly basis.

Brawl, MarioKart, WiiFit, and a much larger population base? C'mon man, seriously.

Wii is the only console with chance of win in software and in hardware

Even taking away Wii sports from the American sales puts the Wii ahead of 360, and this is before PAL sales which are of course going to favour Wii over 360.... The PS3 might have a chance against the 360 this year if it performs better in America and it's biggest games also come out (GT5 and FFXIII) though they may not make it till 2009.

The Wii however will be the clear winner, Wii Sports or not.

If I add up the totals in what I posted above you get this:

If I were to assume a few things it would be that the Europe/other software added to each would be about 6-7 million each for PS3 and Wii (add another million onto Wii if you include Wii sports) and maybe 5-6 million for 360,... then that puts the Wii at over 22 million in about 11 weeks, compared to the 360 with about 17 million and the PS3 about 13 million.

That is actually more seperate than I thought for PS3 and 360, I think I was banking on more of a difference allocated to Japan, but the PS3 doesn't really do well with software in Japan.

Basically the Wii is definately going to be No1, and I now highly doubt the PS3 will sell more software than 360 (even if it sells a lot more hardware it will be tough to catch up on software)
