skunkish, you can't determine anything. The Wii could go on until 2014 as long as Nintendo keeps the innovation. You won't need to bring out a new console.

yes, 2012 will be 6 years later, so wii2 will be out...as will 720 and ps4

however, by 2012, wii will have sold over 120mil consoles...and then even when wii2 is out, wii will continue to sell, prolly better than ps2 has since ps3 due to its even more casual orientation and appeal to non-gamers

it's a foregone conclusion that wii will hit 40+mil in 2008...u think in 2009/2010/2011/2012 it can't sell more than another

You are probably right that everyone will be playing Wii2 by 2012.
But they will also be playing PS4 and Xbox Ultimate (or whatever the 360's successor is).

Once a Profile 2 BlueRay player sinks below the PS3 price, sales of that unit will decrease.

RPG fans in 2008 can play Lost Odyssey and Fable 2, Spectral Force 3, Sacred 2, Tales of Vesperia and many more are coming - good for RPG fans.
Hack and Slash fans will enjoy Too human and Ninja Gaiden II, good news for them too.
Thriller fans will have Alan Wake and Dead Island.
Stealth games lovers - don't cry for MGS 4. You can play Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction and in my opinion Splinter Cell series are better.
RTS fans - Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, Universe at War, Supreme Commander, Halo Wars, Warhammer: Mark of Chaos. Good year for RTS fans.
I'm skipping games like Banjo-Kazooie 3, Theseis and goes to ... FPS. So how about FPS fans like me? Yes I know Gears 2 is coming, but Gears 2 is third-person shooter! Where are my exclusive FPSs? What? Only Left 4 Dead? Damn I choose Xbox because of FPS and there are no good exclusive FPS! I enjoy 2007 - a huge year for 360, but 2008 is going to disappoint me

I hope Warhound will made it in 2008. White Gold: War in Paradise looks like Far Cry, but nobody can say how good will be.

Well, I'm not really sure about that, there are some truly massive hits bound for the HD consoles this year and first party titles on the Wii can only carry it so far.

I think I'm gonna go with 360 actually, followed by PS3 due to tremedous Eu/Others sales (and NA sales for 360). Anyway, I'm no expert, but I'd say the HD consoles have the better hand this year, at least as far as software is concerned.
