Totally agree. Lets hope that this will become the norm, and more indies will be able to afford this, and wont have to settle for sub 5$ price jut to be sure that their games sell. Not many indie games desevre 40$, but I have seen plenty weeks after release at 1$, that would have deserved even 20$. If the quality is there Im ready to pay the full price no matter if it is singleplayer only, or if it has sub-standard presentation.

Note: TW looks great, I am talking in general.

Just imagine it this way for a moment... when you work for a month and a guy gives you your paycheck, and then says, oh sorry, we've taken out $100 because - well you know how it is...we decided you didnt deserve that much this month.

Yes I know the normal, well pirates wouldnt have paid for it anyway line, but this is his work, his job, people are basically taking his work and not paying for it... I dont think anyone else would be happy if they suddenly found people using their work for nothing.

You might see it as whining or perhaps he should just shut up and be quiet because he's made money... but thats not the attitude to have really is it.

Jonathan Blow literally poured millions of dollars of his own money, pretty much everything he has earned, into this game and while it was pretty clear he would get a good chunk of it back it was way less sure he would make a profit/gather enough to continue self-funding the games he wants to make

obviously if tens of thousends or hundreds of thousends of people just dl his work for free he is disappointed/sad and that's exactly what he communicated, he didn't make a huge scene about it like you want to make it sound in your post

Non-disclosure agreement. Basically a contract that forbids revealing certain information(probably with Sony/PC publisher/Steam).

It's reported he's put $3M of his own money to make the game. I don't know about you but if I had that much riding on the success of a game, I'd bitch too.

I think he has every right. Making Braid put him in debt so why shouldn't he bitch. 

He also confirms Steamspy isn't accurate.
