I don't think it would have mattered, either way. Kojima found plenty of success being exclusive, as well. Nevertheless, a new game from him is exciting, regardless!

Thats fine with me since I have all the platforms that he could release his games on exclusive or otherwise ;p
Multiplatform means more people can play them :O

Eh, exclusive/multiplatform has never meant that to me. The same amount of people can always play the games. Buy the device it's available on if you want to play said exclusive title (the way it's always been).

Been saying it since the beginning of gen 7:
Outside of a few outliers (chiefly, GTA5), going multiplatform doesn't "expand the fanbase" or "give more people the chance to play the game". It just splits the userbase. Almost every game that was exclusive in Gen 6 and stayed exclusive in Gen 7 sold roughly the same, maybe a little less; maybe a little more (MGS, Virtua Fighter, Naruto Ultimate Ninja, etc) and those that were exclusive in Gen 6 and moved to multiplat in Gen 7 (or even went multiplat within Gen 7) sold the same (Tekken, GTA [San Andreas to GTA4], Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, etc).
You could say "but BMaker11, you mentioned big games in the second category, but only "smaller" games in the first". Well, the PS3 sold about half the PS2, and the XB360 sold over 3x the original XB. I didn't want to mention 1st party games, since those remain exclusive regardless, but since PS3 sold half the PS2 and XB360 sold over 3x the original XB, doesn't it stand to reason that respective first party titles (Ratchet and Clank, God of War, Halo, Fable, etc) would sell accordingly? Nope, they all sold roughly the same as the prior gen. Unless something truly innovative and game changing happens to a series, the people who want the game are gonna get it, regardless of platform. Going multiplat is not going to "give more people a chance to play the game" because they don't care, otherwise. If I have a PS and want to play Halo, I get a XB to play Halo. I don't just "miss out". And the numbers back me up on this notion. Otherwise, all games that stayed exclusive to PS should have sold half they did on PS2 and games that stayed exclusive to XB should have over tripled their sales.
