But his success rate is still 90 %. So if he makes a lot of predictions, he's bound to get more wrong as well, and you might be seeing that effect. Now bring the statistics and stop fooling around with 'it feels like' kind of stuff.

He is nowhere close to 90% (at least in his public predicitions). Something tells me you have not followed him......

Nothing new. He's a propaganda man who speaks for EA and its ilk.

I think gatting called out on his bullshit got to him.

seems like people don't exactly know what is it he does for a living, he's an analyst. he has to map trends in order to paint a picture of what's the current situation in whatever field (in this case the gaming space) for potential investors.

he's not a fortune teller, he can only point strategies that in his opinion would make more or less financial sense from a business point of view.

i'm sure he couldn't give 2 fucks whose feelings get hurt by his analysis. he'll laugh it all the way to the bank while the haters cry about him on the internet(z)

In my eyes, he hasn't been relevant for years. At least when it comes to the gaming industry.

He has done so many crazy predictions that never come true anyways, forget about him

Actually the whole internet can be wrong. Not saying it is, but people aren't exactly a reliable indicator on measurable things. They jump so quickly to conlusions, even incorrectly. For all I know, Pachter could be either a genius or a madman, but people's opinions about him and some of his predictions are almost worthless in determining which one he's closer to. And yes, I know he has made quite a few bold, almost crazy predictions that turned out wrong. But obviously he doesn't suck at his job since he's been able to keep it for so long, so I'd take that as a sign that he may not be as bad as people say.
