Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Forbes: Wii U-Only Zelda Game Would be a Mistake

They delivered or they will deliver everything they promise on Wii U so they certainly not screw people over their biggest thing this generation. You are acting like Nintendo constantly lying and don't care about their fans at all, and that isnt true at all, sure they delay games, but they sticking to "delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad", but also all other companies are delaying games all the time.

Also, what would they say now again "new Zelda is coming on Wii U next year" if they relly plan no to relased it on Wii U at all, in that case they would just say "new Zelda game is coming next year" without mention Wii U at all.

Again, you don't have any reason to doubt about Zelda, you have all facts and they are saying that game is coming on Wii U and you agree that would be very stupid if game wouldn't come at all on Wii U. Nintendo knows to make strange decisions, but they are not stupid, they wouldn't survive so long if they are stupid, even this gen that is they worst gen ever they are making profit.

That saying is, frankly, a load of hogwash. Delayed games turn out shit all the time, while plenty of games that are made under under strict deadlines are excellent.

I think NX needs a new NX-only Zelda game.

It can have both and likely will.

We already seen a cross gen Zelda with Gamecube and Wii U. Those platforms just happen to have very similar capabilties.

O god, finally someone posted it. Zelda U must be Wii U game. NX must get another big loZ game in future. I can't understand why people here want one Zelda game per two generations.

Zelda U being ported to NX doesn't stop NX from recieving its own Zelda game.

Hell, the gamecube recieved Ocarina of time and MAjora's Mask Remasters + WindWaker+Twilight  Princess.

Obviously this was before the time when "remasters" was a selling gimmick. They ported the N64 games to the gamecube and improved their performance for the special edition of Windwaker.

Almost every Nintendo bigger game is still top quality and they will always delay those games if they think its not ready, even if its main holiday game.

Yes a burn all the 10million people who bought a wiiu, some just for Zelda U, that would be a great business decision, not!!!

People buy consoles for games wthout release dates or a proper gameplay trailer? Those people are in such a small minority compared to the audience they would reach out to by giving the NX a good launch line up. Better yet, the fact that you would be happy to buy a console just for one game means that you're obviously a hardcore fan and will likely buy the NX sooner or later once your bitterness dissapears.

When you have as many delays as Nintendo does, that speaks of poor planning and/or an inefficient production pipeline.

Surely it's a bad idea, specially if the game is good. But that doesn't mean the best idea isn't to wait 10 or 15 years for a remake, like OoT3D. Nintendo doesn't need to pull a Sony here.

Well we all know that Nintendo had huge problems this gen and that currently huge changes are going on in Nintendo.

Would be the best decision. Does Nintendo want to make the same mistake they did with Wii U and let NX players wait 3 years for a new Zelda?
