Dang it. That seems kind of pointless. The audience for this game is going to be older I imagine...and I honestly don't expect this to be big enough to really be on any big feminist groups' radars. It's not even remotely important enough to impact my purchase...but still annoying to lose options available in the original game.

Hopefully it gets unlocked in a future update. I'm definitely picking a male MC on my first playthrough, but if I feel like a doing a 2nd playthrough again and decide to try a female, I'm definitely gonna need control of that bar.

As the feminine fanbase tend to value character customization more, the most common answer would probably be "the more options the better" IMO

I'll wait for the game's price to go down before buying though: if NoA removes features, I'll reduce the price I'm willing to pay. In addition to this, I'll be contacting Nintendo concerning the matter.
