That's actually pretty good for Wii U. But I guess there aren't a lot of notable online shooters on that console.

Compared to CoD or Battlefield, it certainly is.

But you can find success wihtout being as popular as those games. I think Splatoon is also an example of that.

I haven't booted 360 Halo games in a while, but last I saw they are all doing about 5 - 6K.

After quickly booting up the PC versions I can say that there are currently 957 online. Not exactly a lot but I still always manage to find a match at any given time even when the numbers are lower than the current given. Also to note that online MP games, especially new ones tend not to have massive numbers more than a single year, unless of course you're COD or an MMO type game (which effectively covers what Destiny is).

Hopefully when they release Titanfall 2 they fix things up a bit, give us more maps, don't lock maps to season passes and generally keep from splintering the MP and don't charge the game for too higher price, the last one especially since I waited till the game was £10 and it came with all the DLC free after a year of waiting.

Right, that's a another level of success. In fact... the most successful console shooting series.

it probably seeing a a boost from BO3 being a week away.

However, many games have now removed population count due to people assuming the worse with population declines. I think it started with Halo 4. Most games struggle to even achieve what Halo 4 was doing.

because last I heard COD wii u version had at least 3k, considering the game sold around 400k, titanfal doesnt look impressive IMO.

believe or not BO2 had 100k 3 months ago on ps3 so there is decrease in a matter of months.

For a 2014 game that sold like 5m copies, is being given away for free everywhere, and is multiplayer only (basically) its a pretty low number. SO yeah, the game just came and went and i didnt know bout it until you came up with this thread (seriously) xD

Yeah, not great numbers but more than enough to get full games going.

Can't help but wonder if people avoid it on PC simply because of Origin.
