Well they certainly have difficulty creating long lasting, successful IPs. Two of their big three franchises were originally from third parties.

They should have a better portfolio of first party IPs after a decade and a half in the industry, that is for sure.

This is just a warming up for the next 6 weeks of endless debate and few time spent playing games.

Are you implying XB1 owners will have nothing to play? So straightforward, I wish I could learn from you.

Create another Halo then it goes multi platform(not matter how it sells it will be multi platform when sequel announced)?

Don't think MS will expect this.

I am 100% sure that had Titanall sold like it was suppose to, that MS would have bought the rights. I mean, they paid billions for Minecraft for crying out loud. They aren't afradi to blow money.

Do EA sell IPs?

Respawn owns their IP. They took MS money instead of asking for more from EA just to make sure they kept it.

There goes that "blanket" statement...again lol. So if you are saying that then you MUST have also said that MS had nothing for the first 9 months as well right?

Actually, i'm pretty sure that was said for the first 9 months, i mean if Ori, State of Decay, Screamride don't count and considered a bare lineup...... if that's the way you want to play it, that's fine, but don't complain because the PS4 is in the same situation during the holidays with a half done collection and a late MOVE game. We all saw this coming.

I think other dude was right, as long as MS keep up funding games like Scalebound, Crackdown, Sunset, Ryse, Quantum Break, RE-Core, Phantom Dust, MS can, should and BE DEMANDED to keep that Minecraft/Gears/Forza/Halo cashcow running (and explore other genres like Horizon and Halo Wars and Holobuilder)

The middling guys like Rare and Lionhead can experiment until they find their cashcows, at which point they can be expoited on a bi-yearly (and later yearly basis when they move the spin-offs to external studios)

Then you can complain that "It's just another Halo/Forza/LionheadIP/RAREIP/Gears/Crackdown/Quantumbreak" holiday instead of the barren wasteland of PS4. That's so much better MI rite?

Worried?

Only about the amount of FIRST PARTY MS PUBLISHED GAMES I'LL NEED TO BUY OVER THE NEXT 18 MONTHS

Infact, forget anymore new ip. I'd take sequels of all of the above until 2021....anything over a barren holiday lineup.

So I have to ask now that you have said all of that. You said you would take all those sequels over a barren holiday lineup? Why? What is so important about the last 3 months of the year that you would take games then over having them through out the year? Does that make them better games? It isn't like the games that came out at the start of the year have disappeared so they still matter even around the Holidays. And it is not like Sony is not releasing anything during the Holiday period they are actually just adding more to the games they already have out.

So that logic just still baffles me and bothers me about having nothing for the Holiday. To each his or her own I guess. Me personally I do not care if a game is 1st, 2nd or 3rd party exclusive as long as it is a good game. And it is on tthe system a person chose then why does it being 1st, 2nd or 3rd party exclusive matter? I mean yes a company should have good first party studios but as long as the games are being delivered then I am all for it no matter what party they are.

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

You're asking the wrong guy, guy. You want to speak to the ones bigging up Bloodborne and the Order as evidently it was supposedly more important to have those games in Q1 and a barren Q3 & 4 then say, have a barren Q1 & Q2, but many games in Q3 & 4.

It personally doesn't matter to me, but it must be said. We can't have them having double standards now the positions have switched.

I stand corrected.

Sounds like the IP isn't for sale either way.

After what the Respawn guys went through at infinity ward, I don't blame them.

What game consoles do you own? I could recommend you some games.
