The Last Guardian, Persona 5, Street Fighter V and GT7 are neither budget titles nor anime games. Gravity Rush 2 also doesn't look like a budget title.

How the flying french potato is Persona 5 / Street Fighter 5 not an anime game. GT7 and Last Guardian I see why.

Did you just start gaming within the past 5-10 years? Street fighter has been around since the 80's!!

Persona may look anime cause that's the visual style that's popular in Japan, but that's doesn't make it an anime.

Ratchet & Clank a budget title and Street Fighter V a Japanese niche anime game confirmed.

Well, Sony seems to think that R&C is budget, since they are not asking a full price for it. I skipped SFV because I don't think a slightly enhanced and reskinned game deserves mention. I mean, it is exactly the same game with the same fighters as last gen, just enhanced to use power advantages of PS4. You might as well put MLB 16 on the list

The price of a game does not reflect the budget of the game. There's a reason why GTA doesn't cost 150$. Sony priced R&C at 40$ because they think that's how they'll make the most money. Selling more copies but at a reduced price.

Sure, that strategy certainly helped Tearaway sell more copies. R&C is priced at $40 because Sony knows that nobody would be willing to pay full price for that game, so of course it will sell more at $40.

Won't sell much, but definitely more than zero. It's a rehash of a decades old forgotten IP made to be a movie tie-in, I see a great chance of it being terrible and selling terribly.

IMO the PS4 list of exclusives is well beyond solid, there's a good 8 AAA exclusives I absolutely must play next year, out of the games confirmed for 2016 so far, one of which is going to mean me buying Playstation VR (RIGS).

So far 1)Horizon Zero Dawn, 2)The Last Guardian, 3)Ni-Oh, 4)RIGS, all of those are new IPs, then there's 5)Uncharted 4, 6)Gravity Rush 2, 7)Gran Turismo 7 (confirmed by Kaz coming next year) and 8)Ratchet & Clank.
Dreams is likely also coming next year, so that makes 9 AAA PS4 exclusives (games you can't get on any other system).

I'm sure Yakuza 6 and King of Fighters 14 will also have their fans, so that make 10-11 big games you can't get anywhere else.

Then there's things that are yet to have release dates, like Deep Down and Let it Die (Making a potential 13 big exclusives on PS4).
Finally smaller games, 14)WiLD, 15)Rime, 16)Alienation, 17)The Tomorrow Children, 18)Shadow of the Beast, 19)Kill Strain, 20)Fat Princess Adventures, 21)Drawn to Death, some of these may still make 2015, but it's not seaming likely at this point.

Sony a really doing a stellar job of keeping me PS4 exclusive this generation, I think 19 of the above I definitely want to play, with only Yakuza and KOF not really being that interesting too me.
Adding the console or Playstation exclusives like Street Fighter 5, Persona, Gravity Rush Remastered it's about 22 games that can't be found on XB1 or Wii U, with 19 outright PS4 exclusives (assuming all of those come in 2016).

Then there's the multiplats, which I'm not buying another console for, I think there's a good 30 games I could buy for PS4 in 2016, assuming funds and available time allow me to sink my teeth into.
From this year there's a tonne I still want to buy, but as I said in the XB1 thread I've been skint for a long time, so haven't been able to buy anything new for ages.

Things like Fallout 4 this year will keep anyone busy for many hours of play time, when Horizon releases that's going to be a very long game.
I really can't consider any other new gaming platform besides PS4 at this point and Sony are probably going to add at least a few new big exclusives to their list over Paris Games Week and Playstation Experience in the coming few months.

I think this generation is shaping up to be utterly phenomenal, regardless of platform!

Sorry man, but that last paragraph really shows that in this case you have no clue what you're talking about.

I wouldnt call it solid no, i would call it totally crazy, one of the best , if not the best line up of playstation since PS2

Even more crazy knowing more announcements are coming at 2 next conferences , many games have not been announced ( GT 7, Sony Bend game, sucker punch game, Level 5 game, God OF War ? )

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

And shame on you to forget TLG and even Gravity Rush 2!

You say some very ridiculous things, Ratchet & Clank won't sell? It would sell just fine for $60 and it well sell even better at $40. A lot of people are hyped for this game and the E3 footage they showed blew people away.

You say it's forgotten?

That's funny, I was in gamestop last Sunday playing the new demo on ps4 and a mom and her two sons walked in and right away the older son, probably 13-14 looked over and said "they got a new ratchet and clank?"

Then today in best buy, a saw an 8, maybe 9 year old boy playing the Dragon quest heroes demo. He wasn't playing mine craft, or looking at uncharted, cod, battlefield trailers, he was playing Dragon quest!!

So if nobody buys or plays these games, then why we're these two kids so knowledgeable about them and playing them?

Yes it's only two instances, but for you to say ratchet and clank is forgotten is just idiotic.

Totally agree.
