Forums - Gaming Discussion - Xbox One and PS4 "Platform" Exclusives

This thread has been created as a companion to my "True Exclusives" thread which you can find linked at the bottom of the OP.  This list will include "Platform Exclusives", which I have defined as any game that has only ever launched on a Playstation or Xbox console/handheld. The only exception to this rule being Rare Replay, and I've made this exemption because a good portion of the games are infact MS only, and MS now owns the studio and all of the IPs.

As with before, the list contains the games, whether the are retail or digital, and their metacritic scores (if applicable). Also, remember to let me know if you spot any mistakes of if I've missed anything, and be nice to one another! Debate is fine, attacks are not!

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Is the difference in number really that big?

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

I know, I was really surprised at just how big the gap was. I guess Sony has actually earned it "remasterstation" name.

WTF is wrong with critics? GOW III is still such an incredible game but got 11 points less on metacritic on PS4 than it did on PS3 smh, most of them compalining about the price, which isn't even high at $40. Why doesn't the same apply to other remasters which retailed for $60 despite just being simple remasters (TR: DE, SD: DE, SR IV, DMC)?

I eagerly await the spin attempts

Have you counted games released for Xbox on smartphone, tablet or PC as well?

Why would he do that when the chart says "platform" exclusive?

Thanks jlmurph!

This confuses me. There are loads of xbox games that are exclusive to the xbox platform but because of the nature of the xbox platform is it on multiple devices. Windows, phones, tablets. They are still only available on xbox now that MS is unifying. The same thing can be said about PlayStation Now which is also available on a bunch of devices and a few on the list are in PSNow or on the PS3 or Vita.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.
