Games that are first person generally do better on XB one relative to install base. Bethesda games better still. I expect with the closeness of install base FO4 will do better on Xb one in the USA. Xb one should benefit from exclusive marketing with this game, whereas with other games exclusive marketing was arguably no benefit.

The Witcher series was huge on the 360 and the 1st & 2nd games were never on the PS3. And yet, The Witcher III sold twice as much on the PS4 than on the XBO... in the US/UK... with Microsoft having marketing rights to the game...

Um no the Witcher was not huge on 360.VGC has it under 1 million.The PC versions were not huge either.The PS4 has just made the Witcher a big franhcise since it finally came to the console where people buy RPGs.

Fallout 4 will easily sell better on PS4 unless Xbox has a bundle.Marketing and first person means nothing when Battlefield,COD and Destiny all sold better on PS4 in the US as separate skus.Xbox needed a bublde for COD last year and does not have one this year.Every third party game will sell bette ron PS4 this fall.

Damn... i thought XBO was going to win this month even if by a small margin, but seem that August is going to be another PS4 victory...
I seriusly overestimate Madden bundle, and even Gears i hoped in much more.

Madden and Gears bundle hourly:

Yeah, I was also expecting the Madden bundle to do better. I wonder hos much the PS4 will win with though, wasn't it 30k last august? Will probably be less this yeah, so maybe a PS4 win by 15k?

Agreed, 10/20k in PS4 favour seem about right, depend on the July gap... NPD is tomorrow, that's going to be interesting.

Until Dawn feels like a game that a lot of people will buy digitally. I don't know why it feels like a digital title to me, but it seems that way. Sony may be hoping for word of mouth and good reviews. If the game gets better than expected reviews (in the 80s is better than I expect) then it might get that word of mouth thing going with decent sales in September. Releasing on 25 August, if Sony is angling for a good reception from early adopters and positive reviews then I would expect it to possibly not appear in the NPD top 10 for August.
