A bit too late for WiiU but we'll see what happens with NX! Nintendo still has Monster Hunter which is huge. 

Capcom are literally hyprocrites.

They literally said MH3 on wii u was a smash hit yet they wouldn't put another Monster Hunter on the Platform even though it did 500k in 4 months(and keep in mind this was the 3ds game at 1080p which probably didn't cost much).

I really wish people would stop using that term.... 2nd party. SE is third party. OT:Japanese games sell the best on playstation consoles most of the time so it makes sense for SE to side with sony.

Many of these games listed are remakes/ports/whatever that were previously exclusive to PS already. But there are important stuff too (Nier 2, Star Ocean, possibly DQXI, etc.). I'm liking it! I think the best Square phase was when they were either "exclusive" to Nintendo or PS.

I really don't think this will revive consoles in Japan. They need to do something crazy and unexpected like Nintendo did with Splatoon. Something like that gets attention and sells consoles.

Yeah, kinda. But Square doesn't want to waste its time putting those games on Xbox anyways because they won't sell well on the X1. So it just makes financial sense to keep them only the PS4.

No shocker there. They've made it clear that they back the winning horse. They were more spread out less gen because they had to be due to the distribution of console sales and consumer buying habits. This gen, the prime platform is pretty clear. Toss in a vita or PS3 port here and there for some extra cash and get even more in bed with the main horse's agenda.

This has been pretty much true since the PS1. I'd argue that this was even more true during the PS1/PS2 era than now, but that's probably partly due to Sony owning Square Enix stock for part of that time.
