Ironic thing, because NA is their biggest market and yet, they give us their back most of the time.

I hope both games will release physically, I ain't buying an external hard drive and a $60 game at the eShop.

man that would suck. I'm with you. I have both games preordered at gamestop and as far as they know it's a physical release. But they don't have a date for either. Shovel knight is going retail?! Looks like i'm rebuying that. Yeah, i much prefer my games physical. I have some weird fear that if my hard drive crashes in 20 years i'll have games i can't play. That would be unacceptable.

That is because the current leadership in NOA, whether it is Reggie or coming from Iwata himself, I am not sure, either doesn't really have faith in the traditional gamer in North America outside or doesn't want to tarnish the family friendly rep they have by sticking their names on something too wild.

If it is the later, then Bayonetta 2 is a true miracle. But in any case, the idea of Fatal Frame gettting a eShop only release kind of sucks but it is better then nothing (although it would have been at its best LAST year) and the lack of them even trying to market Devil's Third which could have probably benefitted from some of the older shooter audience or the action gamers that both Splatoon and Bayonetta 2 may have brought in seems wasteful.

And on Fatal Frame, if Nintendo had any real sense on building that franchise now that they co-own the IP, they should make sure in the build up to or just after the release of FFV, they should release the Wii remake of FF2 and FFIV on Wii's Virtual console as well. Fatal Frame isn't exactly Resident Evil or even Silent Hill among horror game franchises but it is well respected and strong enough that with a little push it could be something that helps sell devices in the future much like how Fire Emblem has become.

Devils third will be physical IMO so stop panicking. Fatal frame maybe not though but for a game that's props Gonna sell a couple off 100k it kinda makes sense. End of the day the games will be available either digital or physical so its better then nothing at all except Mario and garbage animal crossing spin offs

Almost certainly, Fatal Frame will be digital only in the US and not sure about Devil's Third, but that'll likely be physical. Just having a wild guess here.

Still with regards to Fatal Frame we should just be pleased it's even coming at all. There was a long time where even that didn't seem likely.

Nintendo still thinks niche games will sell without any marketing whatsoever and then they ask themselves why no third party developer wants to work with them.

Im sick of people saying be happy its coming at all, because the fact is that im not going to get it. for me, its as if it isnt coming. i only buy physical copies of new games. im not going to waste a bunch of space downloading this game. i want the disc, i want to own it forever. i want it in my collection. so fuck all that, im not happy that its digital only. its a bunch of bullshit.

Fair enough, but I like plenty of others will take this compromise and enjoy it because any opportunity to do so is a little victory with regards to titles like these. 

And yes, it isn't confirmed yet so just keep praying to the great God Nintendo and you might get lucky.
