Then Nintendo needs to come out and say that. They have to say we are no longer going to make 3rd parties a priorty. And will take full responablity for 5 years ourselves. That means they have to ramp up poroduction, and release games to ALL franchise. To fill in all time periods.

Over half of the games I listed were 3rd party so they would still be a priority, it just wouldn't be the same 3rd party games that drive PS/XB sales. I also don't think Nintendo can make it any more perfectly clear that they are not interested in fighting for those games, "were not interested in high end specs" pretty much declares "we don't care about AAA multiplats".

But they also don't seem to care to release their own games at a proper pace. To compensate for this decision.

If a new HH is coming out, is it worth me picking up a N3DS this weekend?

If you want to play the games now, but not if you want to spend less money (if the next one is backwards compatible).

That would be annoying. However, would like to get back into Pokemon, pearl was the last i played. Want to play OOT 3D and Xenoblade too, or i go Vita as i love JRPG.

This is why they are not making money as they used too with the Wii. The Wii attracted so much casuals because it was new innovation and appealed to many people. The NX can accomplish this by being on the same level as Xboxone and PS4 with hardware and graphics as casuals are sucker for these things. Nintendo need some new management.

I think if they are going to go this approach, then they need to embrace it moreso.

The NX needs to be something really DIFFERENT. Not just a controller with a screen on it or even a motion pad. That won't cut it today.

They need something that is completely different from other consoles and immediately is understood by the consumer. It would help if they had some damn games that actually utilize whatever this new functionality is to be.

Like I have no idea what that would be, but it has to be something that if you have a friend over they go "holy crap, what the hell is *that*?" type reaction.

If they just come out with a console that's similar to the PS4/XB1, but 3-4 years late ... they are going to get killed, so that's a dead end for them.

Yes they do, the problem currently is that the output is divided up between 2 separate platforms. What I and the poster I replied to are talking about is a fully unified ecosystem where the handheld and console share a software library. Here are the Nintendo-published titles in North America for 2013-2015.

2013-Fire Emblem: Awakening, Brain Age: Concentration Training, Tokyo Crash Mobs, Lego City Undercover, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Harmoknight, Lego City Undercover: Chase Begins, Kersploosh, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, Mario & Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger, Game & Wario, New Super Luigi U, Pikmin 3, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Wonderful 101, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Wii Party U, Pokémon X/Y, Super Mario 3D World, Wii Fit U, Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds, Mario Party: Island Tour, NES Remix, Dr. Luigi

2014-Bravely Default, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Yoshi's New Island, Chibi-Robo: Photo Finder, Steel Diver: Sub Wars, Pokemon Battle Trozei, Mario Golf: World Tour, Kirby Triple Deluxe, Rusty's Real Deal Baseball, NES Remix 2, Mario Kart 8, Tomodachi Life, Wii Sports Club, Pushmo World, Professor Layton vs. Pheonix Wright, Hyrule Warriors, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, Pokemon Art Academy, Fantasy Life, Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Pokémon OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

Still drought problems. All because they can't manage two platforms. Which Nintendo has been doing since 1989. The only difference is 3rd parties are dead. They haven't learned anything when it comes to management. And don't list 3rd party published games. Even if they're helped by Nintendo.

Yes, i know they currently have drought problems due to software support being split up between 2 separate platforms but u keep ignoring what I and the person I originally quoted are talking about, Nintendo fully unifying their platforms next-gen so that the handheld and the console share a software library. That completely fixes any and all drought issues. Nintendo-published titles, Japanese 3rd party exclusives, child/family friendly multiplats and indie support gives Nintendo well over 100 games every year.

I care what I see now. Not what could happen in the future. Notings going right now. So I have no right to be mad now? And I will only belive it when I see it. Because how many years have Nintendo blunder their stuff. You think I'm gonna happily embarce the NX. With open arms. When Nintendo has pissed me off with decisions so far. Remeber their promises of amazing support for Wii U. Their plan BETTER work. Or I simply ignore the next system. The only plus I get from the NX idea is: I don't have to waste my money on a handheld anymore.

This is kind of a silly statement to make, as we can only speculate on any and everything about the NX.
