I gave no evidence because there isnt any to give and because thats not the point of this thread. I'm trying to warn people who dont know better not to listen to what others claim because its bad news for fans and nintendo especially after their digital event. I call the information a lie because it is in most cases presented as a fact and even if it is not it still leaves a mark. Theres no reason to suspect the worst just because the digital event sucked for most.

People are overreacting over the disappointing Digital Event, but one thing I do not understand is why did Reggie even take time to say anything about "Codename NX" at the event? That tells me that it is going to come sooner than later.

OP I'd like to ask you to change the terms from their current "it's a lie" to "it's unlikely" or "it's unproven"

If you're going to leave it as "it's a lie" I'd like to ask you to back up these claims, otherwise what you are in effect doing is using misinformation to discredit what you regard as misinformation.

Alright guys, I'll concede. I don't have the interest or energy to dig up the posts that are pretty clearly the ones referred to in the OP, so you (plural) win.

Cant do that because it wouldnt make any sense to have this thread if I changed that. I edited the op to make things more clear and I stated that the "information" is a lie because it is presented in most cases as a fact. If thats not enough then close it.

If you believe the wording of "its a lie" is so critical to the existance of the thread, you should be willing to support the statement with examples, the problem is even if you find a couple people claiming it to be fact, the general thought from the majority of users perpetuating the theory, accept that it's not solid fact.

What It feels like to me, is a very reactionary thread, and while that in itself isn't necessarilly a bad thing, the content is what makes or breaks such a reaction.

In calling the entire idea of any of these events happening a lie, you are tarring everyone with the same brush regardless of whether or not they claimed it to be fact, or simply shared their thoughts, and that is where the issue is.

If you're unwilling to change the statement, you need to make more of an effort to validate it.
If you're unwilling to put in the effort to validate it, you need to change the statement.

It's really that simple.

you say "reactionary threads" isnt it the same with all the "nx 2016" threads ? people are overreacting because of some digital event gone wrong and say all kinds of things.

I did the best I can do thats it I have nothing more to add I answered a lot of poeple here and made everything clear. people can accept it or not.

Is there still anyone salty that Nintendo replaced the GBA early?

Why are you so hell bent on getting a token "extra year" out of the Wii U anyway. You know the last year is going to be crap anyway right? The Wii had a terrible last year and so did the GameCube, even if Nintendo doesn't release the successor outright, they did basically abandon both of those systems for their last 12 months.

So if they're going to do that anyway, I'd rather just have the new hardware sooner than later and just cut all the bullshit waiting part out.

Wii U should have launched in 2011.
