If you believe the wording of "its a lie" is so critical to the existance of the thread, you should be willing to support the statement with examples, the problem is even if you find a couple people claiming it to be fact, the general thought from the majority of users perpetuating the theory, accept that it's not solid fact.
What It feels like to me, is a very reactionary thread, and while that in itself isn't necessarilly a bad thing, the content is what makes or breaks such a reaction.
In calling the entire idea of any of these events happening a lie, you are tarring everyone with the same brush regardless of whether or not they claimed it to be fact, or simply shared their thoughts, and that is where the issue is.
If you're unwilling to change the statement, you need to make more of an effort to validate it.
If you're unwilling to put in the effort to validate it, you need to change the statement.
It's really that simple.
