Forums - Nintendo - I feel so cheated getting the Wii U

Sorry for the disappointment. Yeah, support will probably be minimal in the next year or two, but the silver lining is that there are probably around 20 exclusives worth playing and another 10 or so to add to the list by the time it's discontinued. I think 20 to 30 games is worth buying a console for.

It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P

Well you already have much of great exclusives available and more are coming.

if you think that there won't be any more games after this spring then don't worry, you'll still have maybe 5-10 quality titles. we have the rest of this year, then next year, and half of 2017. Everyone who has one will probably have a similar library by the end though.
1, mario3d 2. mario2d 3. hyrule warriors 4. zelda 5. splatoon 6.bayonetta 1&2 7. mario kart 8. smash bros 9. fatal frame V 10. pikmin 3 11. wonderful 101 12. devil's 3rd 13. star fox 0 14. mario maker 15. xenoblade chronicles x 16. donkey kong tropical freeze 17-20. future unannounced titles. I think the biggest woe is that it's confirmed we're not getting a metroid on the u. I was pretty convinced that would happen.

Sadly, I feel fairly confident that there will be no more major Wii U games that haven't been announced yet.

For next year Wii U curentle only we have Project Treasure, Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, Mario and Sonic at the Rio Olympics and Zelda. I dont belive that would be last games in Wii U life.

I plan on getting a Wii U for my son (and me) in the very near future and we share NONE of the same worries. My biggest thing is the backlog is already more than enough to keep me busy for a long while. Especially since my main gaming comes from PS4/Handhelds. Not only that, the announced yet to be released list of games will definitely whet my appetite when the time comes. I honestly share none of your concern. and isn't it backwards compatible? How are you ignoring this entirely? Gotta be some amazing Wii titles you never had a chance to play, and now you do..

Oh and one last thing... The price isn't anything to break the bank. If you're investing in a console and you're a gamer, obviously you can afford it. If you don't think the Wii U is worth the price of admission for all of the content you're getting... gaming might not be your thing ;p

This I don't get. Did the bad E3 just erase from all existence all the good games already out and the ones we know are coming out?

Nope, but it makes me think that I could have saved up for the NX instead, especially if it comes with backwards compatibility.

We stiil dont know for sure what exatly is NX, when is coming and will come with backwards compatibility.

Wii, Gamecube, and N64 all had slow years towards the end of their lifespan. This is normal for a Nintendo console.

Yes, but 2016. will be Wii U 4th year, so I am expecting few more games.

I was too, until E3, where they made it pretty clear they're not investing in Wii U's future beyond games already well underway and low budget stuff.

We will see if they will have damage control and anancuce some stuff in Nintendo Direct in next month-two or in some other ND this year.

I will wait and see, but I'm not hopeful.
