Forums - Nintendo - I feel so cheated getting the Wii U

I bought my Wii U about a year ago, and the only game I cared for was Smash.

I still enjoyed the console though, cause I got to play other great games, including Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, and Splatoon.

There are still titles I'm looking forward to as well, including Xenoblade Chronicles X, and The Legend of Zelda.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I bought my Wii U over 18 months ago and I also feel cheated. I think you can't not feel cheated after this presentation, with the console only being out for 2 years and a half.

Still, while the future after 2015 doesn't look bright, there's still at least Zelda to look forward to, and with that it'll have a pretty solid lineup, so I don't regret the purchase. If they do stop supporting it, that won't stop me from loving it - it will only stop me from buying the NX.

Actually Nintendo released an infographic about upcoming retail wii u games and said there are more to be announced so lets wait a little.

We need nintendo to tell that? Can't we suppose it?Some are acting like we won't get any directs through the year anymore, with a new game...For example, pokemon OR/AS revealed in a direct...

Ah great to see a wii u owner to express his feelings/complaint with moderation, most of them after E3,they are really exaggerating...

I bought the Wii U when Windwaker HD released.. I never owned a Wii, so I found value in the backwards compatibility.

Yeah... i experience several Wii games since i never had one. Xenoblade chronicles was definitly worth it, fire emblem radiant dawn was nice aswell and i got to experience Nights 2 even though i didnt find it very good. With that said, none of this is ok. I didnt buy a console for 3-4 games. I will definitly not be buying an NX under these conditions.

I would take this kind of thing from SEGA because i loved almost all of their games. Nintendo i only like a few. I can live without.

Sad that it came to this. I thought Nintendo was aware that this would be an unaceptable situation for consumers. I do think third parties (Activision and Ubi in particular) pushed them into this. Is it worth it? Nah... not really. NX will come out and multi-plats will still sell like crap and leave Nintendo. This is all very useless and destructive.

Wii U has Mario 3D World, Bayonetta 2, Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. U, which I will put head to head with the 5 best games on the Wii or GameCube any day ... I think it's doing just fine unless you were good third party support, but you shouldn't expect that from a Nintendo console.

you have lots of games on it already and a couple of great ones coming this year so even if you recently bought you have lots of games to play.

I know, which is why I don't regret getting the Wii U. I was just hoping for much more in the future, otherwise I probably could have saved a lot of money just getting a Wii U used.

They also said they would be showing a lot of third-party support this E3.

They said "partnerships" in terms of skylanders and just dance.

They literally put

"Stay tune for more game announcements."

I bought my Wii U around a year ago and I share your pain. Still, there are a lot of great games so far and a few more to come at least. I was really crossing my fingers that Nintendo was going to stand by their loyal fanbase for a while longer.

EDIT: We may still get a few games (outside of the two we know about) in 2016. If we're vocal enough, Nintendo might offer a little fan service.

Where the hell are people hearing about NX cross-gen games from? What, do people expect Nintendo to release NX in 2016 now?

As some of you may know, I purchased the Wii U less than two weeks agao. Being less than 3 years into it's lifespan, I thought that I would be safe in regards to future releases and announcements. Well...Now I'm scared. I don't necessarily regret getting the Wii U, but I am definitely disappointed with what has happened the past few days. Nintendo, please announce more games for the Wii U (that aren't cross-generation with the NX) and I will be satisfied with my purchase!

Why? Wii U still has some of the best exclusives games and the current library more then makes up reason to buy a Wii U. The Wii U is simply a commercial failures, it's still has more then enough great titles to warrant a purchases. Just don't expect much after 2016 to come out on Wii U.

Dissapointed about the conference maybe but still there plenty to be excited release date for Xenoblade, Mario maker & Star fox this Holiday.
