Forums - Sony - Opinion: Sony's E3 Gigatons are not Sony's Gigatons.

I mean they litteraly had nothing with the gigatons.

The last guardian sounds great, but technically it was announced long ago.

FFVII remake is good, but it's only temporary exclusive.

Shenmue 3 ? it's a kickstarter.

They came and they won, not with actual content, but just showing us what we asked for years.

Next level tactics. It feels like 2013 all over again. We got manipulated to that level where we can only be impressed at the manipulator instead of being pissed off.

They had one new exclusive with horizon though.

and what new games had MS to show? Indies and gears 4

Sonys Horizon has better graphics than Gears 4, and  looks way more impressive gameplay wise.

Honest question cause I didn't watch it, anything new announced for 2015?

Not really, but I don't want anything this year.  FO4, MGSV, Battlefront, and No Man's Sky are all I need this fall.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

Yet some people said Microsoft had won E3 with the backwards compatibility and the Elite controller lol. Gears 4 looked great though. But for MS it was the standard Forza/Gears/Halo combination with Tomb Raider thrown in(which is timed exclusive).

Horizon was all they had. Everything else is multiplat.

Lol ? Thei litterally had the biggest new IP announced at E3 : Horizon

And an other big exclusive megaton for PS4 : TLG, new PS4 exclusive since it's not a sequel and was not announced on PS4

Microsoft only had the game from Inafune as new exclusive  announcement for One

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Horizon looked amazing too. I mean the whole show from begging to end was great but Horizon really set the tone for me personally. Sorry TLG fans, I don't really care about that game.

I actually don't care at all about TLG (i won't buy the game, i didn't like ico), but i was still super hyped at that announcement for some reason.

Horizon looks like Killzone meets monster hunter. I don't like either franchise but for some reason i want Horizon anyway. HYPE !

Important lesson of the day:

Gameplay. Gameplay. GAMEPLAY. This was what MS's conference lacked in both quantity and quality. It would behoove them to take a page from Sony's conference.

They had more than one new exclusive and they all looked great.

The only new exclusives (not announced before) are 2. And one of them is not ps4 exclusive as it will release on psvita too.

Only Horizon is really new and exclusive to ps4.

What, did you walk away form your pc? Gc announced a new vr fps game and mm announced dreams. Does it matter if a game comes to vita? It's still exclusive to playstation.

TLG should have been release at least 5 years ago. A super delayed game should not be a good thing.

They won largely off the back of how solid the presentation was, which I take into large consideration when rating conferences. Things like the amount of unnecessary bullshit, the amount of surprises, the amount of innovation, the amount of CG only announcements etc are all important to me when looking at a conference. Sony brought more surprises and bigger surprises than anyone else.

If you want to evaluate the future of the consoles, you are no longer really rating the conferences, however, Sony still had a fairly strong showing (although likely not on the "best conference evar" level). While I don't know which games are making their way to XBO, Sony still showed that they have a large number of multiplatform games releasing as well as some pretty big exclusives such as TLG, Horizon, Uncharted and Dreams.

It was a damn good conference and Sony's lineup is interesting, diverse and innovative.
