Fallout 4 looks like a son of the Sims 4 and Fallout 3. It's a huge improvement from FO3.

When has Bethesda ever created a game with stunning visuals? As far as I know it's just not what they do, they create decent visuals, sometimes lazy visuals with their massive open world games, there are large parts of skyrims landscape that just look like Bethesda couldn't be bothered and just filled it in real quick. But the most important thing of a game is its immersion, story and gameplay the graphics are never as important to these things. I think there's far too much expectation and talk about visuals this gen.

If it's atleast 30 fps and without minute long load screens every 5 mins, tons of glitches and bugs the graphics won't be a problem, if all that stuff is still there I won't be buying it, as much as I want it.

I was able to bear it with Fallout 3 but when I tried Fallout NV I stopped playing the game after a few hours because it reminded me of how much of my life I wasted waiting on load screens.

The game will be good and I'm hyped for it. But that doesn't mean I'll pretend to be blind and say the graphics are even "Ok".

No excuse for Bethesda to make a game that feels so last gen, visually speaking.

Given the size and scope of Fallout 4, it's hard for me to obsess over the incremental improvement in visuals over its 2008 predecessor.

Honestly, I'd be tickled if F4 was reasonably bug free and ran smoothly at 1920x1080 native.

I just want the game running at 30 fps steady and bug free, fallout 3 had bad graphics too and it was great.

There's a better chance the universe implodes.

OT: We're in an age now where people are complaining over every single thing. Whether that be graphics, design choices, or a fucking character that never existed outside of a TRAILER. It's obnoxious as a whole really.

Actually I like it. Much better than Fallout 3 that looked like absolute shit.

I think my main issue with the graphics is that they're obviously STILL using the same engine (although it's probably an updated version) they've been using forever, and nothing gives me even the slightest reason to believe they've still managed to fix it despite working with it for so long. It's a buggy mess, which a game engine so old and mature shouldn't be. That, or Bethesda's programmers/management (depending on which are responsible) are imcompetent fools. (Sorry if any of you are here, but your games are BUGGY.)

Also, buggy or not but I find it pretty sad that their flagship title looks like a 7th gen game. My first reaction would probably be that Fallout 4 looks comparable to GTA V on 7th gen consoles.

Morrowind - I remember most people were quite impressed when it launched. But even that had awful animations.

Just read through this entire thread and can't believe the amount of people who think that the graphics on Fallout 4 are "last gen". I mean..what? Some of you people are looking at the 360 and PS3 generation through rose tinted glasses I'm afraid. Is Fallout 4 better looking that the Witcher 3? No, I can honestly say it's not. But is it a million miles better than Fallout 3 and New Vegas on the last gen consoles? It's absolutely night and day better!

Forums these days are just getting worse and worse with people complaining literally about everything. You can't look at any screenshot, any video without an endless list of comments about people moaning about all sorts.

Games don't need endless amounts of resources ploughed in to the graphics to make them multi million sellers! Seriously, look at some of the better games of this generation. Bloodborne, best game I've played this gen so far. Is it a looker? No way, it looks like something that sits between last gen and this gen in all honesty. Art style carries that game more than the amount of polygons and particle effects do. It was still immersive regardless. This rule applies to loads of games this generation so far, like Alien Isolation, Evil Within, Far Cry 4, Dying Light, Destiny, Dragon Age. None of them are particularly sparkling in the graphics department from a technological standpoint. Didn't stop them selling well or receiving generally positive reviews did it?

For what its worth I voted that the graphics were good enough. Anyone who ever played Fallout 3 or New Vegas DIDN'T play it for the graphics. If they did, then they'd have no right to complain about the graphics in Fallout 4 which are obviously a massive improvement. You play Fallout games for the experience, not the eye candy.

Do these people absolutely refuse to play things like Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, Borderlands, DMC etc etc because they either look cartoony or unrealistic? Of course they don't!
