Yeah, MS is so weird this gen if it comes to marketing (even for their own games in many countries).

I mean, I have nothing from having an Xbox instead of a PS commercial as customer but they probably lost already some million console sales to Sony because of bad or no marketing.

When people get bombarded by commercials for every big game and it always says "Playstation" and often with something like "Destiny with the weapon of destruction only on Playstation" to let it sound for people as if the whole game is Playstation exclusive then many "normal" gamers will simply think Playstatin is what you need to have and not Xbox.

Suprise for sure, not much marketing while they are launching a new console around that time, well only E3 will show if it was a good deal I guess.

I have no problem with less third-party marketing if they have their own games to be the backbone but looking at the current lineup, if god of war launches this year or spiderman, im quite sure sony will have a very appealing line up at the end of the year.

Sure Xbox their lineup altough quite weak at the beginning of the year looks good to and it vastly different so will attract different people it still doesn't warrent the lack of third party marketing deals, seems very strange unless they have a very big hitter hidden, but I think thats very doubtfull.

Maybe instead of making seperate-deals they will instead just promote the Scorpio Console a ton? maybe show multiple games all running better on the console? well I trust Phil and their team know what they are doing

I dont think so. Red Dead Redemption,Destiny, Battlefront are all 5M+ games, high budget AAA games with very stong USA/EU appeal, they are first person shooter with big online/multiplayer and that is what MS is looking for, just how MS let it to happen ?

Do you know the size of the new multiplat IP.  It could be a smaller project that they have or were working on and still doing something with MS on a larger scale.
