A question I have is when will Lockhart launch? Couldn't they launch it 6 months earlier than PS5 and Anocanda, sometime around March?

That's what I was thinking too, I'd be okay with them kicking off next gen before Sony with Lockhart in early 2020 and then Anaconda in late 2020 to counter PS5.

Nah I need Phantom Dust to be a AAA game. Grounding is not big enough to tackle this project although I would not mind them collaborating on it. Ninja Theory could be a good dev for it.

Idk...I just think a AAA Phantom Dust would bomb hard but it can still be a great AA title and make them some money, there's also tons of better JRPGs they could revive/create.

Lost Odyssey comes to mind.

What is the rumored power of the PS5?

-8 core, 16 thread Zen 2 CPU clocked at 1.6 ghz (between IPC improvements and the extra 8 threads, we'd probably be looking at 3-4x the power of Jaguar in PS4 most likely)

-Navi GPU (I've seen rumors ranging from 10 tflop all the way up to 14, I'm more inclined to believe it will be closer to 10 tflop since Navi is a mid-range GPU)

-Nothing I have seen about RAM so far, though I'd guess 16-20 GB of GDDR6

-PCI express 4.0 SSD, which is faster than the fastest SSD's on the market today

-3D audio processor, which can replicate surround sound even on stereo headphones

I have also heard rumors of 14tf, I call BS until I see it myself.

THEY SHOWED HIS FACE? WHAT?

Tbf they've shown his face before in Comics and a brief glimpse in Halo 4. This show seems to be set before Halo CE, I doubt they'll use that actors face if they ever show him in the current games. Apparently his aversion to showing his face will be a "key question and an important part" of the series.

It was just a joke. I mean, showing Chiefs face isn't so much a joke, but to expect them to never show the actors face when talking about the series would be pretty tough. That doesn't change the fact people could just look him up. When I saw they were going to show his face in Halo 4 I was losing my mind. I was thankful they didn't afterwards. I like not knowing exactly who his is and people being able to pretend to put themselves in his gear much easier that way. I wasn't aware his face has been shown in the comics though.

PS1   - ! - We must build a console that can alert our enemies.

PS2  - @- We must build a console that offers online living room gaming.

PS3   - #- We must build a console that’s powerful, social, costs and does everything.

PS4   - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.

PRO  -%-We must build a console that's VR ready, checkerboard upscales, and sells but a fraction of the money printer.

PS5   - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.

PRO  -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.

I definitely have a lot more interest in that new Ninja Theory game than the previous rumors saying it was multiplayer focused. Co-Op is fine, just PVP being the focus would have been a huge turnoff.

Looking forward to this game being sci fi melee , rumor got me hyped.

Damn I’m back on the Hype Train now, happy to see that they actually got a chance to make one of their cancelled projects.

They need to launch on the same day. I dont want to wait months to buy the Anaconda nor do I want to buy Lockhart just to buy the Anaconda a few months later.

Same date for sure if they are doling a budget/premium option but one thing I would be a little worried about is pricing. I imagine something like this been the way it all works out:
Lockhart $300
PS5 - $450
Anaconda $600

Having the cheapest and the most expensive premium model is all good but they could just end up loosing out anyway to an all round mid-range console if the above prices are how it works out. Unless your real casual or buying a console for young kids the jump from Lockhart to PS5 wouldn't be all that big for what extra it would offer and the jump from Lockhart to Anaconda would probably be to big in that regard as well.

All in all I think loosing the mid range if prices are anything like I said above is a big loss.

I think the first should be cheaper. If Lockhart will represent their low range, they should retail for around fifty or so less.

I think a 4,x TF console could be enough next gen to play games at 1080p.

4k is 4x the resolution after all and that's what Anaconda is going for.

A cheap but “weak“ entry console would be great for people without much money who want to play the newest games, great for people who don't care much about more than 1080p and it would be a great second console for Nintendo and even Sony “fans“ if MS will deliver great console exclusives next gen.

Yes, less TF than XBO X but that's not the problem for next gen with the great scalable engines nowadays. The CPU and older architecture overall is the problem and that wouldn't be the case with Lockhart
