I liked it, they showed lots of games that I will definitely be buying.

Others have already said that Sony closed out shows with a 3rd party multiplat. Call them desperate for that as well or saying that makes no sense. They easily could have closed the show with Crackdown don't you think? Why this matters though I don't know |
What multiplat? Didn't Sony close e3 2016 with days gone gameplay and psx with the last of us 2? It matters because the last game is usually the grand finale for Sony. I dunno about Microsoft....
I have to rate the Xbox E3 conference 2 different ways, As a gamer who plays across different platforms I thought the game after game with very little boring talking made for a great show on the other hand if I was a pure Xbox gamer I would be a little disappointed at no new 1st party or 2nd party announcements other than what we knew was coming.
Overall I'd give them a 8.5/10 whilst from a pure Xbox point of view I'd lower that to 5/10 which is the score many seem to agree on.

Meh, I would have taken those 3 blitz packs but I already have Kinsano. |
I can now confirm that you get all of the above.
Black Desert on console better have that same ridiculous character creator it does on PC. I'd check it out just for that lol

Only 3 of the new games they announced I am interested in (Forza 7, Ori 2, Black Desert Online), and 2 of those were expected announcements, not surprises. They had no new AAA exclusives aside from Forza 7. Plus the $500 price is just too much for me, I can upgrade my PC to Scorpio-tier specs with that kind of money and play games at 1080p, 60 fps high/ultra settings, whereas with Scorpio I'm going to be stuck with 4K medium settings because most developers are going to be too lazy to make a 2nd, 1080p better graphics mode for Scorpio. It's pretty sad that the 3rd party multiplats were the highlight of the show for me. |
I wouldn't even call it subjective if you complain about the lack of real exclusives and especially games from own studios.
I mean, that's what a show from a console manufacturer should be about, to show us what we only get when we own their console.
If that isn't objective then I don't know what it is.
Sure, it was good that they invested more time in showing games instead of talking crap and the structure of the show was good because of that but it was still "only" showing almost only multiplat games or first party game we already saw last E3.
I would even say the show was much worse for those who own a normal XBO as for those interested in Xbox One X. Those will at least profit from the best multiplat games, standard Xbox One owners just got told that they would get almost all of that also on PS4 + a huge amount of other games.
Holy Shit Witcher 3 IS getting an Xbox One X update!
Here's the list:
Geez..they showed us a good number of games to play. There was definitely something for everyone. There's console exclusives. A sexy new console for best performance. Not to mention we got some awesome games last holiday and their biggest exclusives get long support. New Halo is on the works. Sea of Thieves shows great ambition whether you like that kind a game or not.
Yet there seems to be mostly complaining. Don't get me wrong, I'd fancy a new AAA game too but there's also other stuff to be happy about. I'm still sure they're working on something.
I think I'm gonna stay away from these forums for a while and just enjoy gaming while waiting for XboX. I wish you all the best summer! 😊
Whoa Witcher 3 update, this was what me and my brother were wishing for. I've been reading those novels and want to play it again. Great news!
