Character recruitment/story missions could potentially be good, but the fact they're the equivalent (ish) of £2.70 suggests there isn't much content in them. I'd rather a big expansion, like (if not a continent because of the size) a new island to explore, or maybe even a visit to one of the moons of Mira, rather than a series of bit piece quest packs.

I agree with you.  I will buy DLC if it sounds really well made and fully fleshed out with its own unique content.  Dinky little add-on packs, though, never seem to be worth my time or money.  I've only ever bought them for $.50 during Steam sales.  They're becoming increasingly popular, though, because I think a lot of people do impulse-buy these small packs.  They also know completionists will buy them and probably people who want the blueprints that are included.

Each one gives you a new party character wich i assume is for the whole game with 2 unique skills and their own little story. I imagine they will have more lines for the rest of the game aswell.

If its what i think, its not dinky at all, it quite substancial and cheap. Other games would charge you alot more for that. I dont mind DLC aslong as its meaty and well priced. I dont consider an overpriced DLC to be good DLC, so lets not assume its bad DLC because its cheaper. You are backing your wallet into a corner there.

The prices seem fine, but I'm still not a fan of how close these packs are coming out to the release of the game. They obviously aren't going to whip up these DLC storylines in a week and a half after launch, they must have been completed already and are being kept out of the main game to sell later.

I will be buying it. Maybe all the DLC for it. God knows I'll be playing this game for years, so I'll take all the extra content possible.

Pass. Not compelling enough to make me want it

the game seems to have a full experience by itself.
DLC in this case seems just a bonus.
when i finish the 30h of the game and if i want more, id buy.

Charging for easy mode? Thats a new one lol

As an aside the game automatically decreases the difficulty after a certain number of failures. So the penalty for easy mode I suppose is knowing you aren't good enough to beat the boss.

More options are always good though. Ofcourse I'll not be partaking in this DLC option, but if others do then good for them.

You don't get a chance to deny it?

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Are we sure this won't be on our translated copies from the get go?

And there it is, ladies and gentlemen. Is this out on Day 1?

That's decent I suppose, but I do hope we get some bigger stuff as well.

They were probably planned and written before the game ever entered the programming phase.  You don't just carve things out of a game, especially a story-driven game.  That would be much harder than developing DLC independently from the start.  In that sense, it's not being kept out, as it was probably never a part of the main game to begin with--that, or it was removed in pre-planning as part of the natural process of paring down a game's content.  I remember one video-game writer saying that much of the content that is proprosed at the beginning never makes it into the final game at all, though some might be considered for DLC later.
