All of those games can underperform critic wise. Why has to be Xenoblade? There´s no sign about an underperformance. Not a single 1.

of course im biased, but XCX has potential to be the game of 8th gen.

Yes. But xenonlade has one weakness. Western reviewers might not like it much. It's more Japan centric and kinda niche. Witcher 3 and batman has all the elements that will appeal western audiences including myself.

Either The Witcher 3, MGSV or Bloodborne. Halo 5 would have be extraordinary to stand a chance imo. Xenoblade looks appealing but a part of me thinks reviewers will find ways to bring its score below 90 and as others have said "300 hours of content" is meaningless if the majority of it turns out to be cookie cutter.

I don't think Splatoon is deep enough for GOTY, though it will certainly win some awards.

It will not be a cookie cutter. They are trying to do a masterpice. They have said that, that´s the main focus, they are not making this game to win milions, this is a masterpiece made by heart for some of the best rpg developers of the whole story!

Its all because is on the WiiU, if this game was on ps4 no one will doubt about it being a contender. Clear as water.

I think the Witcher 3 has the best shot tbh. It looks better than Dragon Age Inquisition in every way, and that won the vast majority of GOTYs last year. Also, the Witcher 2 was low profile last gen, niche even, but suddenly its held in high regard and has tons of visibility even in relation to AAA games. People seem to believe in this game and I don't blame them given everything that's been shown. Its also multiplat which helps. It also has tits and sex! l Honestly think it has the best odds right now.

The opposite also can be said. Look at splatoon. OP suggested it might be goty. Why? Is it because its Wii u exclusive? Or it really deserves. Dont bother these things too much. Just enjoy the damn game. And for the record everyone knows I am playstation guy who is way to anti(other systems). But "if" I had wii u I would definitely picked up xenoblade.
