Forums - Nintendo - "Link your Nintendo account" option on Black Ops 3 website

Activision is one of the biggest supporter of the WiiU. They might be dicks sometimes, but they have some smart businessmen.

They might take a small hit in profit, but releasing COD on the WiiU is a pretty smart move. No competition from EA and making COD a household name for Nintendo fans.

So where is CoD: Advanced Warfare? Destiny? Deadpool? The Legend of Korra? The only games that Activision have released on Nintendo platforms in the last year (since Spider-Man 2, released at the end of April 2014) have been the kid- and teen-girl-oriented titles, like The Voice and Skylanders, with the only exception being a title that was gimped on Wii U (Transformers lacked all multiplayer - other versions were rated around 5/10, the Wii U version was rated 3/10). All of their big "gamer" titles have skipped the Wii U.

Meanwhile, CoD: Ghosts didn't even get the free DLC that all the other systems got until something like 8 months later, and still hasn't gotten any other support (the only patch was released with the free DLC). I wouldn't call Activision "one of the biggest supporter" (sic) - I'd say that they at least didn't completely drop support. And that's not much to brag about, given their support so far.

I agree that, if Activision and Treyarch put real effort into the Wii U version (including proper ongoing support after release), it's a smart move - without a doubt, it can be pushed hard in terms of advertising, etc. If, on the other hand, it ends up being glitchy, underdeveloped, and unsupported, then Nintendo fans are just going to ignore the game.

Black ops 2 is actually a great game on Wii U. The dual screen local multiplayer has to be one of the best local multiplayer experiences ever.

Why? There's a big gap between Wii U and ps360. The wii u inclusion has no relation with a ps360 inclusion.

I never said it had anything to do with the hardware. If they're willing to invest the time to make a WiiU version, it would make sense for them to also take the time to port it to the PS3 and 360 (especially since both versions would probably sell more). If the game can be scaled between the PS4 and WiiU, scaling it down further to the PS3 and 360 shouldn't be too difficult. Not for a series like COD.

This might not end up being the case, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

If CoD releases on WiiU and not ps3/360 I'll eat my hat.

I own a nice gaming rig and PS4 but the only way I'd buy Black Ops 3 is if it released for the Wii U. I gave up on CoD after MW3 (I saw the writing on the wall) but I want to vote with my dollars in this case.

The game should be PS4/XOne/PC - Ok, PS Vita version would also be cool. ^^

Yeah, its going to be a port of the 360 version if it gets it. No way in hell are they putting great effort into it.

And I'm saying the investment on wii u doesn't make a ps360 more/less likely. And yes, it would be difficult to scale to ps360, but not to wii u, unless it doesn't have the ps4 as the main dev platform.

Why cannot be the game on a Nintendo console? Even if the wiiu is not suceeding now is good to win an audience, because you never know what is going to happen in the future and you want to have a fanbase everywhere with this kind of games.

And with 52 milions of 3ds sold it´s more logic and cheap to have the game on 3ds than on psvita, if we are talking about sales.

More info is coming out at the end of the month isn't it? That's when the worldwide reveal is, so I suppose we will see then.
