snake in brawl was okay, when mgs was exclusive to ps. didnt see anyone complain with that.

There were ALOT complaints actually.

interesting, didnt know that :p, but wouldnt this make more sense than snake? i mean its part of ninty history.

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

The only benefit would be be MS advertising a new Banjo Game. It would entice Old Rare fans to get an XB1.

In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

Isn´t the WiiU a secondary console according to many people here? If so it really wouldn´t matter.

Now realistically
Sure it´s free advertisement for Xbox (MS gains something here) but Nintendo wouldn´t lose anything. Or do you think somebody who owns a Wii U, owns smash and buys the character dlc will somehow "unbuy" his Wii U? Now what´s in it for Nintendo? Fan service. That´s all.

Yup...RO friggin rocked

1. It wouldn't help either more. MS gets "advertisement," and Nintendo gets a fan favorite in their game. People act like Nintendo would be doing MS a favor or something.

2. I think that it would unit at least Nintendo and Xbox super fans, and show that console wars don't matter with a virtual hand shake.

You keep mentioning console wars. This has nothing to do console wars. Console wars do not exist to console manufacturers. Yuji Naka was friends with tons of Nintendo employees, even at the height of SEGA vs Nintendo. Nintendo fans consider FF7 switch a back stab... Sakaguchi and team remained friends with Nintendo employees.

This is stupid business choice. This is like BK advertising the big mac in one their meal promotions. A business should never create a bridge to competitor products, no matter how big or small it may seem.

I'm not voting for him... he hasn't been on a Nintendo console for even longer than Snake was and Snake was cut for a reason.

Also the profits from selling DLC. Banjo DLC should sell pretty well for them.

Any character would sell well. And I´m not sure if most Wii U owners remember Banjo.

But it exists to fans and it exists to public perception of the industry. Doing this would blatantly show those fans how stupid it is, and be better PR than a few nice tweets back and forth ever could.

It's absolutely not a stupid business choice. Banjo is relevant to Nintendo's history, and it's relevant to his IP owner. Smash Bros. Is a video game first. This isn't a commercial; it's a video game.

Well they're doing a vote for it. If he doesn't do well in the vote he won't be added anyway and if he does do well then obviously there are plenty of Wii U owners that do remember him.

just saw a 4600 voting page (damn i need to find it), out of like 100 characters, Banjo Kazooie was i believe ranked in the top 15.

Ironically #1 character isnt Nintendo, its Shovel Knight :0

Oh no, no, Smash bros definitely is a commercial. its ability to promote upcoming releases or upstir interest in dormant IP's has not been ignored by Nintendo. Notice how character designs and roster is always updated to reflect most recent releases.

Banjo is not relevant to Nintendo. They dont "need" him. As MS holds to license to banjo, he never will be. Banjo is barely relevant to MS.

SSB is most definitely not a commercial, its nintendo history. If you were correct an d i were wrong, it would of been something like

Take out: Duck Hunt Dog/Megaman/Little Mac/Pacman/WiiFitTrainer/etc

Add In: Bayonetta/WonderRed/Dillon/Elma/Shovel Knight/etc.

This isnt PSASBR, like at all
