I really like the Wii U lineup overall with Splatoon and Mario Maker in particular, and Fatal Frame I will check out too. And Xenoblade X. And of course Star Fox.

Really this is not a bad year for the Wii U in terms of software releases at all, provided you're ok with 1st/2nd party games only more or less (which I am from Wii U).

No. All the good stuff in this Direct was stuff we were expecting and/or begging for anyway. Nothing really new.

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

Naaah... Not really... They didnt show us anything new...

I think maybe the Wii U could have an Animal Crossing this fall, but more of a spin-off title more tailored for home console play, like the 3DS is getting that AC spin-off. They could both use the AC amiibo cards.

Maybe that'll be what they replace Zelda with for the fall.

For me the only thing that makes up for the Zelda delay is the fact that they're not rushing it out so it'll be a fully finished polished product.

I didn't think it could, but yes.

Fatal Frame localization, Splatoon and Yoshi dates, and Mario Kart 8 DLC moved forward sealed the deal.

Project Cars is meant to be coming this year at some point as well, maybe!!

Games we already knew about launching later then expected (Mario maker+ Yoshi)... So no lol

Fire Emblem reveal was cool, more or less a confirmed 2016 game. Fatal Frame was great news for fans of the series, other then that it was pretty uneventful. Also are we all ignoring the day one DLC trap amiibo is becoming?

I mean, nothing can "make up for it." It definitely makes up for Nintendo's three months of radio silence though.
