With the delay of U4 and Zelda, are COD and Halo 5 the only truly big holiday titles this year? There are still other AAA games, sure, but none with this kind of impact.

Seeing as how MS usually gets the COD marketing deal... Can you imagine the damage a 300$ XB1+Halo5+NewCOD bundle would cause? That is, if MS is willing to incur those costs for the sake of recovering market share.

There is also FIFA and Assassin's Creed and MGS (if it doesn't suck without Kojima). Could be a few more announcements at E3 still as well.


Honestly I wouldn't consider those rivals, maybe MGS.

I dunno, the last Battlefield knockoff (Hardline) didn't seem to do so well. Actually, neither did the last actual Battlefield game either


Don't even go there lol. Hardline was always irrelevant, and BF4 was rushed out in a year.

 

Battlefront is Star Wars + 2.5 years dev time by DICE. It'll sell

Battlefront was always Star Wars, when it was actually good it didn't sell all that well. Now it's made by DICE, enough said...

DICE has a large fan base though, even with the BF4 launch fuck up

And Battlefront will have have hype like no Star Wars game before it with it being EA's majors holiday title and a new movie coming out around that time as well

How long did it take for the "2015 is going to be an awesome year"-excitement-craze to die? 3 months? Now the tale is spinning towards 2016
