GTA5 has been out for a while. Why now suddenly?

The same reason we see a lot more TLOU hate today than when the game came out. When a game is so well received like this two,it's pretty hard to try to make a criticism just when the game came out(the defense shield is too strong). When the dust is settle, the hype is over,it's easier.

With the exception that TLOU actually is a bad game. Not like GTA5, which is totally awesome!

Try to go back in time(july 2013) and say that here....People would melt

Pretty sure that saying TLOU is bad was pretty popular close to release. I mean how else would people know that you're a cool hipster who thinks different than the mainstream?

GTA 3 never brought stunning graphics even by 2001 standards.

Umm.. if you look at games from 2001 then you'd realize what I'm talking about.

Devil may cry, metal gear solid 2, gran tuismo 3 a-spec all games from 2001 or earlier on ps2 that put gta 3's visuals to shame. Then there's early XB and GC games like DOA3, JSR Future, Rogue Squadron 2 and Luigi's mansion that were on another level as well.

Max Payne 3 or Red Dead is Rockstars greatest game for me. As long as they keep making games like those ill be happy.

"Hating" a company sounds pretty silly.

I hate Monsanto, Nestle, and EA.

What do you mean lack of innovation? GTA5 was the most innovative game in the franchise...

Also, GTA:VC and GTA:SA were both the definition of not innovating, they basically just marginally built on GTA3 with different environments...

                                                                                                               You're Gonna Carry That Weight.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

I don't HATE them, but after all these years, they still haven't topped GTA SA imo. Those first three games on PS2 felt fresh, fun and revolutionary. GTA5, while impressive as hell technically, didn't enthrall me like GTA SA did over a decade ago.

Imo, they need to ditch the engine (the original was arcade-like and goofy which made it more fun) and hire a better story writer. Above everything else, the story writing isn't up to par with the original trilogy.

No, just no. GTA 3 literally changed GAMING.
