Don't forget that it's also hypocritical of him to complain about people bashing The Order 1886 for it's short length of five hours when he is doing exactly the same thing to Wolfenstein: The New Order.

http://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=16886

Not only that, but he was straight up lying when he said "6 hours" because even the rushed time listed is as high as 9h 15m.

"Most popular walkthrough on YT for Wolfenstein The New Order is 7 hours and 15 minutes long. Howlongtobeat has that game with a 13 hour average play time. Oh, and that game has 2 hours and 47 minutes of cutscenes. Oh the horror! 38% of Wolfenstein is cutscenes! Kill it with fire!"

That's the whole point of me bringing TNO up. Using the time on a LP to determine average game length or % of a game that is cutscenes is foolish. Especially since we've already been getting impressions and times from other people that show the game to be much longer.

and no, TNO has a "speedrun" time of less than 5.5 hours.

Don't get me wrong, The Order is certainly open for criticism. If you don't like QTE, or you don't like linear games, or you don't like overly cinematic games, or if you've already watched/played the game and don't like the story, all of those are totally valid. This garbage about the length of the game is not. I also plan on giving my impressions after I beat the game, good or bad. If I am dissapointed and don't enjoy the game, Than I'll gladly talk about how crapy it is.

Very educated post. No arguing with that.

Ryse has 60% at metacritic btw, with a userscore of 5.9, so I don't understand this idea that Ryse didn't get bashed on.

It's one specific user who was bashing The Order for reasons that would also apply to Ryse, though he apparantley had no problem with them in that game.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I think this is the second time this video has surfaced on VGC in the last 12 hours. Still great though :D

And yes you bought both with one of them being like tthe order.  The point is you have posted that it's not value for money for you but ryse and Wolfenstein still justified $60 purchases.  If you are mad that people bashed ryse it doesn't make it right to take your anger from that out on the order.  For the record I didn't bash ryse and you won't see me either.  2 wrongs don't make a right.

Ryse was the 2nd retail Xbone game I bought. I never bought Wolfenstein, only got it through Gamefly :)

And Ryse shares some similarities with The Order, but they are not that similar. I guarantee I got more play time out of Ryse's arena mode (both on and offline) then I'll get out of The Order when it gets here via Gamefly :)

Not sure what you're going on about with the rest. I don't care if people bash Ryse, and there is no anger to take out on The Order. My opinions on The Order are derived from nothing but The Order itself.

Every day I wake up and check the news, there about three or more hate filled articles aimed towards the The Order. This has been the case for about half a year now. You can lie all you want and say that gamers have always hated on linear shooters, but there has been no other game that has copped this much flak before prior to release.

If the game is shitty, just let it be shitty in peace, otherwise this journalistic behaviour is bullying and condones bullying. There's no skirting around it.

Some of it is a little overly negative/insulting, but damn, that's gold. Could be the opposite of the Hitler reaction videos. One is extreme anger, the other extreme laughter.

Ha Rol, you're clearly lying. Did you miss the part under where it said "speedrun" and the fastest time was 5 hours and 22 minutes? LIAR!

Not only that, but we all know you're a Sony pony, so why are you hating on this mediocre game? Didn't you get the "defend at all costs" memo?

Who in their right mind would base game length on a speedrun?

Pffft, nevermind what's correct here, he just said that he could beat it in under six hours.

(Rol, I'm losing you here. You know I'm joking right?)

Yeah, the person with Emily Van Camp as their avy posted it on another thread.

No idea why its not getting much play on here. Most hilarious thing I have seen in ages.

So you're saying you lied in the thread about how much you spent on Wolfenstein?  Unless it was a $60 rental. The reality is ryse and the order will have about the same amounts of gameplay.  Wolfenstein I can beat in about 6 hours on easy. It had a lot of cutscenes that took a good bit of time added up.

Despite that long reply you've not proven anything except that you lied about spending $60 on Wolfenstein.  And according to the post is just linked you also spent $60 on ryse.  That's $120 for 2 linear campaign only games.

LOL I love how you are going HAM over this. Does it have to be that I fucking lied though? It couldn't just be that I remembered incorrectly? Between purchases and Gamefly I play a shit load of games. What do I stand to gain from lieing about it? That's hilarious, especially considering I openly admit to buying Ryse, which is much more like The Order than Wolfenstein would ever be. Hope that helps.

And you do know Ryse has an offline horde type mode, and online co-op? It's not "campaign only". I guess that makes you a liar, you liar.

IDGAF if Wolfenstein can be beat in 6 hours. It was Gribble's list of flaws with the game, I simply made a couple small edits. Again, in your rush to defend the game, you miss the point. The funniest part of it is games like Ryse were crucified prior to release just like The Order.
