You do know that the walking dead isn't a third person shooter so the gameplay isn't really comparable to the order,right?

So in the thread about how much you spent on Microsoft you made things up to inflate your answer. No way you Gamefly'd it and just forgot especially as that post was near to the time.  I don't know which is right but one of them is a lie.

Of course I do, I even said that pages ago. I have a platinum for The Walking Dead.

I was only saying that one has those bullet points and is found to be great while another is criticized for the same things, which is mainly QTEs, which seems to be hated excessively. I know the core gameplay is very different and price of course is a factor, but it's annoying how with the media one day something is cool and good and the next day it's a big negative.

Today it's all about open world. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? 

Honestly I think The Order compares best with games like Ryse and Heavenly Sword. Love or hate type of games which focus highly on story and graphics and aim for a more movie style approach. While they all have gameplay to move things along, it is clearly not their main focus.

Kerotan, people are giving Wolfenstein a free pass because it absolutely earnt it.

Note that it takes much, much longer than the reported time of the Order to complete (and I was playing on normal). There is a hard and I believe an insane mode. There is also a tangibly different storyline depending on a decision you make early in the game, entirely absent in The Order.

Ryse is a different story. But honestly, I don't understand why you would want to make comparison's to Ryse? I have played most of it on Xbox One. It may to this day be the prettiest next gen game that exists. And yet, it is mediocre, short and the QTE's are annoying.

I love Wolfenstein.  If the order turns out as good I'll love it too.  But you can't defend all these people hating on the game when many of them bought Wolfenstein or ryse at full price.

At the end of the day, dismissing a game before its out is often counterproductive. But equally counterproductive is all this silly defense of poor practices in games. Like offering limited content, having appalling endings, using QTE's where better gameplay options exist.

If you want to say 'lets just wait and see if the Order really has all these things before we attack it,' that would be fine. But so many in this thread and others are actually defending these practices (on principle) and it is incredibly apparent in most cases that its because they fear they are present in The Order, and want to defend that title specifically.

That just encourages other developers to make those poor design decisions, irrespective of whether they actually wind up being abundant in The Order.
