Very hard to say especially seeing as we haven't seen much of the game at all.

After the Masterchief collection I'm predicting this wion't come close to Halo 3 let alone 4.What might work in its favour is the xbox presumably being comparably front loaded this gen. If 2015/16 equal X1s peak, Halo should benefit a lot! Compare it to Halo 3 (last gen finally getting to its feet) and Halo 4 (Last gen coming to a close), the opportune time is right in between. Something which I think helped out Reach a lot despite it not being considered a main entry.

Hoping for a lot, because I'm hoping to buy it in a X1 bundle.

I don't like the box-art though, way too deserty and the mask design reminds me way too much of Metroid than it should.

I see it falling quite a bit short of H3 sales. A chunk of the fanbase has moved on, another chunk has lost it's faith and this will be the 7th Halo game barring Halo Wars in the franchise. I'm gonna estimate 6.8 million which might sound pessimistic, but we'll see.

depends on if you believe ps4 as stolen back some consumers that were on 360 but now are on ps4. if so than halo should see some fatigue this gen.

..i think ps4 has stolen some consumers and therefore halo 5 will do less than halo 3 but should still do quite well.

Think Halo 5 will come with some great word of mouth, will be featured in some extensive bundle campaign and will break the 9 Million barrier lifetime.
