Oh man, Puppeter deserved a million sales. I loved that game

It became a million seller long time ago.
My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Really? It kind of sounds like the opposite... |
Well, DK Country Returns Wii sold over 6.3 million units. It just seems underwhelming that its [probably better] sequel has only sold as much as the PS3 version of an average 3D Sonic.

Oh, it really is disappointing when you put it that way... Maybe if the base was much bigger, the game could have sold better.

Well Sonic was released more than 6 years ago, on a 80 millions consoles platform.
When you compare with 1 million sold in 11 months on 9 millions Wii U, it certainly isn't bad, don't forget that DK is still sold at full price, while Sonic has been sold in bargain bins for quite some time ;)

Yeah, it really all depends on the way you look at it. Everything aside, DKTF sales are quite good.

People looking in the bargain bin?
It wasn't a terrible game... as a whole. There were some enjoyable moments in that game.

Sonic Generations already passed that. If SEGA could just keep making good Sonic games them they'll sell well

It was better than Sonic 06, but not by much. What's odd though is that this game was better on the Wii and PS2 than the PS360 duo.
Basically, Sonic Unleashed was Sega trying to figure out how to make a Sonic game after Sonic 06 by including typical speedy levels, hub worlds, combat sections, etc. People liked the speedy sections the most, so Sega basically just took the best parts of Sonic Unleashed and built on them when making Colors and Generations, which people sincerely liked.
