I have been coming here for a LONG time. I have seen users come and go a lot. I will say that over the last year or so, I have seen a clear attempt by the Mods to "clean things up". Unfortunately it has slowly taken the fun out of most topics. The need (legal or otherwise) to be politically correct in simple forums on a completely outdated website is just too bad. Normally, you put up with the problems with this site because the topics can be fun and the conversation lively. Not so much anymore. I am a junkie and will keep coming back.

I was wondering why Spurge hasn't been on for the last little while. But, hey, life happens and sometimes people don't have time to be on a forum anymore.  I gues all we can hope is that not too many people leave for the site to become desolate.

Hmmm...I suspect many have become or will become alt accounts. It's what happens around here. People rarely leave for good...they'll dip back in for e3...or just to see if people missed them. Making a doom thread about it seems kinda odd. It's the Internet...happens all the time everywhere.

You're here only half a year, but I can say people always leave. I don't have the impression it is more than usual, but I also don't have hard numbers.

I've thought about leaving. Many people probably have as well.

I have left before aswell. I came into a disagreement with the way the moderation was handled and opted to leave because i couldnt agree with it. I lurked for a few months and saw things improving and slowly came back. Its different now though. I am way more detached and dont spend as much time browsing as i used to.

Spurge left? I'm surprised I didn't notice when 95% of the threads I opened were no longer from him.

I think some people just realize how much time they spend here and want to stop.

I think a problem is that people see this forum as too devided (PS/xbox/nintendo) and lose interest. A redesign would help with all gaming related stuff being in one tab -that is more likely to be regurarly updated. Akin to neogaf. Simplicity is king.
