Oh man I am pumped for a Nintendo Direct. When you go so long without them its great to see what they are up to. I want more info on Devil's 3rd and Pokken.

If there is a press event though, they may let info trickle out from that and release the trailers on their own; they have before (with MK8 a few weeks before the Direct blowout).

I think if they do a Direct they will announce how MM and Codename STEAM are improved by N3DS, some big screen dungeon footage of Zelda U, an 'announce' trailer for Star Fox, and maybe, MAYBE, a tease on the next Retro project (ie. 20 seconds of ambient music and a title).

A closed event means new 3DS unveil to the press.

Dont they always like announced or confirm a nintendo direct like a few days before they show it? ( like 3-4 days )

Not at all, the Mario Kart one they didn't even announce, it just showed up on Youtube. Others have had a week's notice, most the day before.

The direct could be up on Youtube right now and we don't know about it.
