Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo will become obsolete

Not the point I was making, also nobody was talking about about a few cents, you know there are mobile games going for I believe as much as $20, right? Also there's other systems that the games could still come out on for full price.

But you're exactly the kind of person I was talking about, getting mad over the pure suggestion of Nintendo going third party, because you have probably for some totally arbitrary reason decided that that would be horrible for the games and the company.

Thats probably cause we get a thread about Nintendo going third party at least once or twice a month but we rarely get a thread about Sony or Microsoft going third party and of course, if we are going to talk about games being avaliable on every platform, than people should include that both Sony and Microsoft First party should also be avaliable in every platform including PC

Again: The whole industry is making money on the Playstation and Xbox, on the other hand only Nintendo is making money on the Wii U (3DS is another case, but with the shrinking dedicated handheld market I wouldn't be surprised if the situation there becomes similar to the Wii U situation) that is the crucial difference.

If they go third party, then that would also bring their older games to the system.

Did I get mad over anything? I don't think so. The mentality of "I want everything without having to spend money" is just bullshit. If you want quality, then pay for it. Nothing good in life is free.

So? What's the problem with them bringing their older games to other systems?

And yes you clearly have a problem with it, which is very easy to see from you continuing to make points that counter I something I never said (I never said anything about not spending money) and now even went so far as to create another thread for the topic.

This is an....... interesting thread!

So in other words, you don't really care about the whole "games being avalible to play eveywhere" then? Just Nintendo games being avaliable everywhere? Heck, the whole industry is making money on PC as well hence why you have many games being ported to PC so why shouldn't Uncharted and Bloodborne come to PC?

The reactions in these threads are always very telling, apparently the box that plays the games and the exclusivity of those games is more important than simply being able to play the games.

Aye, which is why everyone should go PC only. In all fairness there's really no place for Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo's stuff, and all would benefit greatly if they all ceased to exist.

Honestly Playstation and Xbox do have a place, because they offer platforms on which not only they but all third parties are making money on, tons of money, they are viable platforms for the whole industry.

Nintendos platforms on the other hand are largely completely financially unviable for the industry aside from Nintendo, so if nobody but Nintendo makes money on their systems (and that is basically the case with the Wii U) and if Nintendo struggles to make money on the hardware itself, then one has to wonder why they don't just ditch the hardware and concentrates on what they're actually really top notch in: Making games.

I don't completely agree with this "the handled market is shrinking, there's nothing to do about it" dogma I hear everytime. Actually the maket of games played on-the-go has grown exponentailly. Imo both PsVita and 3DS are flawed hardware designs, a good handled console could cater to a significant share of the mobile market.

I don't really care, no.

I will never understand why people are so obsessed with this industry having less competition

High revenue doesn't mean high profit. Take the manufacturing costs, marketing costs, R&D costs and everything else out of that and what are you left with?

Ka-pi....Please don't do that! The thread on neogaf is about why nintendo shouldn't abandon hardware!READ IT!
