As long as you use a controller I don't see why Smash Bros wouldn't work well with a tablet.

Well, you need a stand and a place to put that tablet while u are holding the controller and from my experience, a lot of the cases that come with tablets that act as a stand are terrible

What is that abomination called?

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

So why did you say this then?

"The reactions in these threads are always very telling, apparently the box that plays the games and the exclusivity of those games is more important than simply being able to play the games."

I thought by that, you wanted the games to be in every platform since thats the only way that most people can play the games

Wait now I'm confused. What I meant to say was that I wouldn't really care if PS or Xbox exclusives were available everywhere.

Oh okay, I thought you responded to my first line cause thats where I said "you don't really care" and etc

But I don't really get why you responded to:

"Thats probably cause we get a thread about Nintendo going third party at least once or twice a month but we rarely get a thread about Sony or Microsoft going third party and of course, if we are going to talk about games being avaliable on every platform, than people should include that both Sony and Microsoft First party should also be avaliable in every platform including PC"

With

"Again: The whole industry is making money on the Playstation and Xbox, on the other hand only Nintendo is making money on the Wii U (3DS is another case, but with the shrinking dedicated handheld market I wouldn't be surprised if the situation there becomes similar to the Wii U situation) that is the crucial difference."

Cause the industry making money on PS/Xbox has almost nothing to do with people not making threads about Sony/Microsoft going third party vs Nintendo since the industry is making money on PC. So I am a bit confused as to why the Industry making money prevent people from making "Sony/Microsoft" going third party threads since the industry money topic is not really even touched up on the Nintendo going third party threads

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

If Wii U and 3Ds were the last nintendo consoles, Nintendo would be doing the smart thing.

Agree with OP.

Is not if nintendo can't continue making money with their own consoles. Is what business strategy will make them the more money.

Nintendo know how to make good games and build franchises. But they need to improve their brand or else they will lose the new generation, and lose oportunity of make 10 times more money going 3rd party.

Ka-pi sadly you don't seem to understand!Lets stop the discussion...

You are failing because you accept the premise that all Nintendo consoles will be like the Wii U.

Eh?Why did you say this to me...?

Ipega bluetooth telescope controller... works with Android + Windows tablets and partly with iOS games (iCade controls).

Size and weight aren't much different than the WiiU tablet controller:

i assume its all downhill from here, i'd see nintendo in their next console use something like 3ds as controller

as hardware manufacturer, and they are ok with that!

In the past software and hardware both were profitable, unfortunately due to increasing competition not only from microsoft and sony but pcs and handheld devices in general the profits on hardware are plummeting.

Secondly Nintendo lost focus on whats it all about: games and not going whiblywhobly with a controller

it's simple they are gonna make their biggest draw back also their greatest strength

open up the audience from ten million tho billions.

play smash bros on your tablet, you got it!

Play your pokemon MMO on PC done deal!

Moving to controllers simply not made for gaming - a brilliant idea!

You've forgot the next move: favor pay-to-win over gameplay.

Even More Money. you got it...

You are aware that Sony is closer to what you're predicting than Nintendo is? Sony execs are already debating among themselves whether or not PS5 will be physical or cloud based. They already are working on bringing their PS Now library to non Sony devices and even allow streaming PS4 games to Sony tablets.

Its a great idea but you got the wrong company. Sony will end up having their PS5 cloud service on the next Nintendo console, along with all phones, tablets, TVs, PCs etc.
