Forums - Nintendo - Miyamoto comments on future of F-Zero

I'm (partially) with Miyamotoo!
There's something fishy about what he said.
What more control interfaces does he need that he doesn't have already? A tablet? A VR device?

First he didn't know what he could do with the game, now he says that he needs a new type of controller interface - not the same as control layout!

My guesses are tablet, VR device and new console!
And most likely the game is already in development.

Oh god. I don't think my body can handle VR F-Zero when I have issues with extreme roller coaster rides. Would still try it though.

"So, maybe if we create a new type of controller interface, and we find a controller interface that’s particularly suited forF-Zero, then maybe we’ll do something with it in the future."

I'm seriously getting tired of Miyamoto.

I don't think anyone could handle that either. :D
My strongest bet is that it's coming to a new console... or new handheld!

Miyamoto's comments on Starfox very much sound like he's just shoehorning awkward Gamepad controls just to try to justify the controller. Novelty for the sake of novelty.

And chances are they will be optional. Nearly every Wii U game can support the Pro Controller or Wii Mote.

I can only hope.

Amen.

I feel like I'm spamming cos I've said this quite a few times in the last week, but I really feel he needs to retire. He's done amazing work in his time, but he's lost touch with today's audience.

You couldn't be more right. It's a sad day when I'm more excited about something like Splatoon than the new Star Fox.

But... what is the mario kart team working on then? More mario kart? We got 7 and 8 recently aswell as the DLC. Might aswell get them working on F zero.

Quite saddened tbh. I love futuristic racers and they seem to be dead now that studio liverpool is gone. And no the indie ones are no good.

Yeah, if you'd told me a year ago we'd be getting a current gen Starfox, I would've been over the moon; it was the franchise that made me a gamer, and the SNES and N64 entries still rank among my favourite games of all time. Now that it's happened, I'm more interested in freaking Devil's Third. :(

Lol, I'm not that far off. I'd much rather play Star Fox than Devil's Third.
