And Smeags, thanks so much for this. Your obscene amounts of effort are very appreciated, I can't emphasize that enough. I do think certain remakes go beyond just remakes and deserve special attention, like Zero Mission, but in general agree with your methodology, and if this is how it must be for the sake of consistency and not hurting games over split votes, then so be it, I'm pretty pleased with how things turned out.

Damn I've only played 49 of those...

At least I know I can beat this number.

Will be checking to see how many I've played when I get home.

To be honest that's not an overly impressive feat.

500-450

Played: 14

Comple: 11

449-400

Played: 14

Comple: 7

399-350

Played: 6

Comple: 5

349-300

Played: 17

Comple: 7

299-250

Played: 9

Comple: 13

249-200

Played: 17

Comple: 13

199-150

Played: 15

Comple: 12

149-100

Played: 17

Comple: 17

99-50

Played: 15

Comple: 20

49-1

Played: 15

The played = games I started but did not beat. Comple = games I beat.

Also, I'll never know how some of these games got votes. Some very surprising inclusions.

Well OoT really was quite far ahead.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

75 for a game not appearing on the list? Sounds iffy.

It makes a lot of sense actually. If lower scores are better than a game not appearing in someones top 50 kind of has to get a lot of points otherwise games that only appeared on 1 persons list would easily win.

Of course, the logical thing would be to assign 10 points to the #1, 9 points to the #2, etc. but I suppose the person who made the rules didn't think that through.

Are you unhappy with the top few games by chance? The system is a bit different but it works perfectly fine.

I'm going to make my own thread with my own point system.

Here's my prediction for the top 10 next year, since I have nothing better to do

10) Super Metroid
9) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
8) Uncharted 2
7) Super Mario Galaxy 2
6) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
5)
Super Mario World
4)
Resident Evil 4
3) Super Mario Galaxy
2) Super Mario 64
1) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I'm curious about The Last of Us. Its position is better than last year, but could it be because of the Remastered, which caused more people to play it? Will it stay around the same, rise or drop next year?

I hope it rises.

I didn't get the chance to play it around the time it was released (can't remember why) so I only got around to it this year (on PS3). I'm guessing I wasn't the only one who only first played it in 2014.
