Because it's not a million dammit! Doesn't do CoD numbers? FLOP!

I voted for 'YO MAMA' simply because there is no 'BOTH' option.
New ips and mature titles are just as important to oldschool classics in my eyes.
With that said Bayonetta 2 was never expected to sell millions, I still hope for 1 million one day, though the first one only sold about 2 million collectively and sequels generally sell less.
1 mature title doesnt solve the 'mature game' problem for Wii U, but is merely the beginning of a long and arduous process.

Despite that, even if VGChartz numbers are true, ales data are as of December 13th, the game sold 20K the previous week and Christmas was still ahead. |
I have read that thread too, for what i read on EverythingNintendo "Creamsugar" is the usual reliable NPD leaker, this user "Dartastic", which by the way its now banned, also claimed Sunset OVerdrive to have really low numbers but the thing is the OP of that thread, "Nirolak" a Neogaf Mod, didn´t updated the data with that new info, even when he was the mod that say "Dartastic" was in the clear, at the same time he did updated the september NPD thread when eventually the Hyrule Warriors numbers came out, so i don´t know how relieable this "Dartastic" user actually is/was.
Go and define that flop finally.
Pulling big numbers?
making money?
The latter one is actually interesting. Looks like no one knows Bayonettas budget, so in theory Nintendo could already be making money. And that wouldn't be a flop.
About actual sales, niche game still sold at full price and still pulling decent numbers. It should be around 550K at the end of 2014 and keep on selling at low numbers for some time at full price.
That said, keep in mind that right now Nintendo is making a sequel of Xenoblade. Likely much more expensive with sales under 1 million. So Bayonetta 2 might be not onlya a financial succsess (we dont know that) but also get another sequel.
Poor Bayonetta 2. The game will become a legend, though. Sometimes, I hate Nintendo fans for being so stuck in their ways. A lot of good games get overlooked. B2 was never going to set the world on fire but it deserved a better fate.
Looks like it sold a bit better than Tropical Freeze. Its a shame since they are both great games. Most people just don't want them I guess.

But Tropical Freeze has shown legs, it might hit 1 million sales lifetime.

Both will easily pass the 1 million mark. I just think they both deserve more.

I doubt it with Bayonetta 2, but Tropical Freeze will make it.
Sure they deserve more, but the 1 million mark is an important one when your install base is not even at 10 million.

I know. Im just bitter that a certain 2D platformer can sell millions while the superior one doesnt...
