One franchise. How many franchises does nintendo have?

Gamefreak sucks, Nintendo doesn't.

I did not make one fucking comment about any of the other Nintendo franchises, I talked about Pokemon being milked...by everyone involved... period.

your original comment was in response to a post i made about how nintendo doesnt flood the market with their games, to which you replied pokemon. so while youre only talking about pokemon here, it is in the context of the larger question of "does nintendo milk their franchises?" which is why people are pointing out that nintendo has other franchises besides pokemon.

All of that doesn't change that I talked about Pokemon and never even implied that Nintendo is milking other franchises, so going "oh, give me some other franchises" is completely unwarranted and nothing but a sign of someone trying too hard to defend Nintendo here.

i udnerstand what youre saying, but all this is in response to the question of whether or not nintendo milks their franchises. so other franchises are very relevant to the discussion here.

4. They are the only ones who have the ability to milk the same franchises for 25 years, and loyal fans who keep on buying them.

I will have to agree with this

This sounds like someone trying very hard to attack Nintendo.

They can have a say, but they choose not to. Gamefreak/Pokemon company is the one that doesn't want the main series to also be on home consoles.

Also, cod, fifa, ac (shame)  ect say afternoon.

Good on battlefield for taking it's time and being great.

if you take a look at the BIGGEST publishers in the industry, nintendo is the LEAST culpable of milking their franchises. thats the point people are trying to make. and like i said before, i halfway agree with you on pokemon. maybe 3/4 agree. its still not as bad as many others. again, nitnendo is the least guilty of this and the fact that their franchises last three decades is proof of that.

You can hardly say Sony milks its franchise... yes they release 3-4 games of the same franchise on a gen (like ND games) or 1-2 per gen (like GT), but I fail to see any franchise you can accuse Sony of milking (the closest thing would be R&C but that is 2nd party and I'm not sure how much is Sony demanding or Insominiac asking).

For some people when it is praise we should point Nintendo, when it is criticism better aim at a different company/person. Not that it change the case that Nintendo one way or another use the same characters (and several franchises) since NES, not all of that is milking, but at least serves as a crutch (and that isn't bad per see).

Pokemon being milked? What a totally uncalled for "attack".

Try harder.

Well you shouldnt...

why? i think its actually a compliment,  they are one of the very few developers that know how to make sequels and sequels without boring the audience (and diversifying?) their games enough to keep them "fresh".
