Forums - Nintendo - Super Smash Bros. 4 is an Abomination

1. The easy solution is to follow up after your opponent has been knocked off stage. I've rarely had problems with opponents constantly come back as long as I followed through with the proper moves to guarantee a KO. Follow up and read your opponents.

2. Yeah the AI's difficulty is largely superficial, amiibos are a bit better. Really if you want to practice for getting better, I think human opponents are really your only option. It's much different fighting other people than fighting AIs in every game.

3. Counters have been buffed but not all counters are the same. The best counter I think is Marth's and Lucina's since it's fairly quick, but they have their limitations. Counters especially with counter spammers are very easy to predict since they usually rely on you rushing down with extremely powerful moves, counter that with using a lot of grabs and their entire strategy falls to bits. Or better yet, read the counter and follow up.

4. I am confused how you came to this conclusion... Defence is more viable but that doesn't make offensive play useless.

5. This is true, they should have at least added a few Smashville or Battefield like stages.

6. Many other fighting games have a similar system like Tekken and Persona 4 Arena and I haven't really noticed anything game breaking or unbalancing with this system except for Lucario. It rewards players at high% who make good reads and combos. If you know when to take damage and when to deliver it you can use this system to lead an advantage like two stocking your opponent or laying off massive damage before losing your own.

7. It doesn't seem much different than Fox and Falco dominating Melee or Meta Knight and Snake in Brawl. Smash's top tiers have always been rather unbalanced but it doesn't make the rest of the cast useless. Overall I think the characters in Smash 4 are pretty well balanced compared to Melee and Brawl.

8. Yeah, it's a shame.

9. Maybe, the only thing I think sticks out the most is there is no Adventure mode and all the stages being reused.

10. Why is this a negative? I think Namco did a solid job and a whole it seems the playerbase is much happier with the result that we got from Smash 4 then what we got with Brawl. I don't think I like the game as much as Melee but I think they put in a great effort to make an enjoyable game.

The game was not developed by Nintendo

No Smash Bros. title has ever been developed by Nintendo.

i disagree.

People talk about this franchise like it's so great. But each game I've played just feels like a button masher that takes no skill to play. And Sony fully recreated its n00biness with its lackluster imitation. My son loves both games though. But he's 7 and he also thinks Dragon Ball is an awesome movie.

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

Wtf is wrong with you?! The game is flawless! One of The besta in The WiiU! Of course it is notnpwrfwct but cmon, an abomination?!! LoL something Tells me that you got ownrd online and Came here bash The game due to your lack of skill (and yes, im award my post might be removed because im bashing you a lot :p)

Wii U + PS4

Consoles>Mobile

SSBU felt like Brawl in HD for me. I still much prefer Melee, or hell even the purity of the original, where you can actually see what's going on onscreen and no BS gimmicks like the Smash ball. Plus the controls make all the difference as well... I'll take the GC controls or even the N64 controls over the Wii U / 3DS controls any day.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

im loving the 3ds one, havent played it for Wii U yey. I LOVE that there is no SSE what a waste of disc space that piece of nonsense was. So kudos for getting rid of that. I love that Namco helped develop as it feels like more of a fighting game than past iterations, which i like personally.

you could just deactivate the smash ball

It's my favorite in the series so I'll ignore negative Nancy' nit picks here and enjoy it for what it is: A chaotic fun fan service that bridges casual play and hard-core mode.
