Best game on Wii U, and the best version of Smash, but thats just my opinion. It would be a boring old world if we all liked the same thing.

All I can really say about this is you need to get better at smash 4. Every game in this series is different and that is for the better. If you can't win because of the game's unique mechanics that's your problem not the games

I dare anyone to go play Melee now and realize how unbanced and broken game it is and I love the game. Brawl was slow super slow but SMash U is the perfect balance. Not as insane speed as Melee and not as slow as brawl. Perfect inbetween.

Nothing will replace melee for hardcore gamers - just accept that fact and move on

The only counter i feel is overpowered is Shulk's, due to the long attack with a long invincibility frame. Seems broken to me. Otherwise they don't bother me. I tend to use it more with Palutena because i don't like her tilt attacks, so when i need some fast damage, counter is quicker.

just came back from my friend's house and finally played. The game is fantastic. Best in a while

8-player Smash get?

I am really tired of people comparing this game to Melee... This game is 10x better than Melee (And I love Melee... 2nd Best Smash next to this one). Want more proof on why? SSB4 has a SHITLOAD of content over Melee, the music is 5x better than it, there's an 8 PLAYER MODE, MORE CHARACTERS, LESS CLONE CHARACTERS, Amiibo functionality, a level editor, final smashes, more items, and more modes of play. All fighting games have to EVOLVE! That's the NATURE of the BEAST (Look how different Street Fighter II,Alpha, III, and IV play from each other). Just because the mechanics are different doesn't mean the game is not as good as it's predecessors (I honestly feel it's mechanics are on par with Melee, and I love how there's A LOT of defense counters now, puts many more options into a game full of them already). If you have a problem with all it's new mechanics... Just step your game up.
